"The 12 positive cases came to light after the ship tested 150 crew members as part of routine monitoring, according to news reports. The ship currently is sailing with 666 crew members and 922 passengers."

So, out of the 150 they tested, 12 were positive... so out of the 666 crew-members there were probably 53 or so actually positive...

/666 Crewmembers...

VanillaEnvelope: Laughing my ass off because a despised co-worker left for a cruise today.

FFS, those things are disease incubators under good conditions, why the hell would you get on one during a global pandemic?

I mean, really just covid. The recession was predictable, because of Covid, but no covid, probably no recession. Venture brothers probably wouldn't even have been cancelled.

If you think the fires or hurricanes in 2020 is a problem, I have some really bad news about 2030.

The economy was overheated and headed for a crash anyway, the virus would've made that worse. Our disastrous response to it is going to make the Great Depression look like a slight blip when all is said and done.

We're going to be looking at now,as shiatty as it is, as the good old days.

Really!!! They couldn't get by with 665? Or keep 667 crew busy? They had to go with 666 crew?

It's German humor. You wouldn't get it.

Even Tiger King could have been avoided if Oklahoma only had a functional government that enforced animal welfare laws.

I'm going to a concert next week, it's being held at a drive-in theater, outdoors with 14' (every other spot) between vehicles should be plenty safe. Tickets weren't even unreasonably expensive, $280 for a carload of up to 4 people.

That doesn't happen to be at the Van Del Drive In by any chance? If so, I will be there.

I wish there was a real Captain Nemo that hated cruise ships as much as he hated slave ships in the book.

What an original ship name.  Warum Schiff ist das?  Das ist mein Schiff.  Sechs.
