When you, quite literally, own nothing....$750 is quite a lot....

Just curious, Did Trump and the grifters get $1200 stimulus checks?

NO SUBBY he meant lower, income people!

Rich people don't pay taxes. Really rich people don't work and they don't pay taxes. And their money goes overs seas. .

Well, he's consistent in this regard. He didn't say higher-income people should have to pay taxes.

The juiciest irony so far has been people saying he broke no law. Then contorted their mind so much that they accepted $750 is fair and legal. Well, I think if he has really been under audit for 5 years that isn't true. But then they say "just change the law" with no self reflection that the only major trump bill has been a tax cut for the wealthy..

So, now that we have him for the same crime we got Capone, he's going to finally get arrested? Right?

No, we're just going to make a bunch of memes and continue along?

Well, same as it ever was I guess.

I have to pay a quarterly tax payment pretty soon and just the state portion is $1000.

Fark these guys with a rubber hose.

Related to Trump and his taxes, from a diff article:

"Donald Trump's financial records are the Rosetta Stone for understanding the depth of his corruption and crimes," Cohen said in the interview. "The more it is unraveled, the more he will unravel. It's the reason he's fought so hard to keep it under wraps."

Goes to show that every accusation is a confession even before he ran for president.

What's cool is that a shocking amount of people living in trailers nodded their head when told that they need to pay their fair share and that Trump is a genius for having zero taxes.

I assume it was Cohen who had to docs to give so it would make sense that he would say that. Clearly I don't know for sure, but I can't imagine who else might have had them so easily.

Nor did he mention massive losses people.

Typical conservative. Reagan did the same thing when he was governor of California. There was no state withholding, just a big bill at the end of the year. He opposed a movement to add withholding. "Taxes should hurt," he said, so people would know they're paying them.

And then it came out he was paying nothing in state taxes because of the popular farm tax dodge rich people were taking advantage of. Step 1: Buy cheap farm. Step 2: Grow nothing on farm. Step 3: "O! Woe is me. My farm could have produced $X in profit, but alas nothing grew. Therefore, I have a $X loss. Tax reduction, plz." Step 4: profit.

Republicans have always been selfish, vile trash.

Ah, the old "skin in the game" argument.

An argument without exception put forth by people who pay little to no tax, despite being obscenely wealthy (or claiming to be).

Who knew that when Mitt Romney complained about the mooching 47% he was actually taking shots at the super genius rich like Trump. It must have been just as insulting as the Correspondents Dinner.

We need some choice videos of Trump (e.g. his triumphantly agile decent of a ramp, his heroic trudge from the helicopter after the rally that killed Herman Cain, or one of his epic fights with an umbrella) over-layed with a "shreds-style" version of the Imperial March

After selling a number of assets at a loss (including, yes, his peanut farm) to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, Jimmy Carter's 1976 tax return showed zero tax liability. Rather than pay no money, Carter made a voluntary donation of $6000, the average income tax liability for that year.

I haven't checked in on trumperville or trumpers.

I assume they are arguing that Trump paying $750 was still too much and they think their taxes should be lower too?

1) The taxes are fake.

2) They aren't accounting for all the other taxes he's responsible for, like the fact he has employees who did end up paying taxes they wouldn't have otherwise if he wasn't beneficent enough to hire them.

3) Those are Obama's tax rates that were designed to shield the rich from liability. Trump is going to fix the tax system so rich people pay their fair share from now on.

No. Congress and the courts do that. We are farkers, we make fun of the news and have no arrest authority. It's better this way...

Did he add a trillion to the debt by cutting taxes to the 1%? Honest question, it seems like a high number.

His lawyers, if not already the case, will be making sure there are much larger retainers in place before undertaking any legal work.
