Nope.  But as long as they are American citizens, they can stay anonymous, legally.

I think Citizens United is a correctly decided decision.  I know this puts me in the minority of those posting here and of people left of center.

No. It's haha funny, but not legal. I looked it up. Now how much that is being enforced is a different matter. Legal? No.

Also, foreign owned companies located here could funnel money through workers. This is not legal, either. I would bet it happens, though.

No, it wasn't a good decision. They had to overturn every single precedent on campaign financing. They deliberately opened the door to the kinds of shenanigans we are seeing today, all of which were totally predictable. Our government is corrupt, possibly beyond repair, because of Citzens United.

Interestingly, The Federalist Papers were subversive to the existing political institutions. But that's OK, because the political institutions they were instrumental in enacting are the ones we have had for 200 years. Ask yourself whether anonymous PAC contributions are similarly subversive of the existing order.

I would agree with you entirely if these were manuscripts being printed and delivered on the internet. I'd even agree if these were people running their own websites.

But, they're not. And UNLESS you FORCE television networks to run ANY AND ALL political advertisements (which is not the law), then there's no reason we should allow anonymous political speech ON THE AIR.

Right NOW, anonymous, endless political contributions are being used as an avenue for money laundering.

But it also helps that wealthy people can get some tax writeoffs for political contributions. Time to end that.

Sure, "directly" you can only donate so much, and write off so much. As an individual.

But the world of the common man is quite different than that of the corporate billionaire.

Corporations can donate unlimited money to PACs, can't they?  And no large corporation is 100% American owned.  No funneling through workers needed, just through the accounting department.

You are only in favor of it because most criminals fall into the democrat core demo.
