One of the truly glorious benefits of working from home is that I can just happen to have the Liverpool match on TV beside me while I'm "working".

I'll be teach a class for my work over Zoom while the game is muted on the TV 5 feet further away. I'll have to be good as I will be on camera for the class.

A. NBC can EABOD for pushing everything onto Peacock
B. Citeh sucking out loud means I don't need Peacock this year.

NBC just relayed a report from The Times of London saying that officials will be asked to show more common sense regarding handballs going forward. The Eric Dier handball with the arm above the shoulder is likely to remain a penalty, but some of the other ones that have been called probably won't be.

I was blown away yesterday on the first Leicester penalty when Peter Drury said that game was the 28th the PL season and that penalty was the 21st of the season.

And then there were two more in that game alone.

Crazy.

Villa started strong and gets to goal they deserve. Grealish makes it 1-0 before 4 minutes have been played

Grealish good.

I like this low, close, wide angle.  More games should be shot like this.

Give me variety.  Birdseye, grass-level, zoom, wide, in-betweeny shots.

That's currently Derby County with 11 in 2007-08. That's a low bar to get under... but I could see it happening.

They would need to be stupendously bad and extremely unlucky. Maybe someone can find where they tossed the Michael Jackson statue and break it. That should do it.

Team news for Liverpool:

Henderson out with injury, no Thiago in the squad (minor fitness issue is the stated reason). Gomez joins Virgil in the back with Fabinho moving up to midfield to join Gini and Keita.

Good match so far. Tight, but Arsenal have been known to throw in the towel completely in certain matches against tough teams. They're cagey tonight. I like it.
