Destructor: Purple_Urkle: Shep Smith's journalism will reek of Fox News infotainment forever.

Well, maybe he's now free to be the journalist he always wanted to be.

We'll see.

Megyn Kelly couldn't wash off the stink.

That said, I don't hate Shep Smith, I don't love Shep Smith. He's journalistic popcorn. I expect him to be saltier with some buttery moments.

I'm too used to snorting lines of John Oliver's caffeinated habanero chocolate journalistic infotainment cocaine. I just want it all the time.

There's never a wrong time or thread for this picture:

So he's going to spread his f*cking disinformation on CNBC now? F*ck him. He should be at the end of a noose for all of the sh*t he's supported.

Judging from what I read about his program, he's going full Cronkite!  Just reading the news, shutting up, and letting us make up our own minds about what we just saw.

Shep was a rare voice of reason on Fox News since its inception. Trump humpers hate him with a passion, and that's all you need to know really. He's a good journalist, cares about doing his job, and is going to a place where the typical audience demographic doesn't want to string him up by his neck. Good for him.

And I doubt he's conservative. He's gay and certainly not a bootlicker.

Serious question, what is it you hate about him?

He's a conservative propogandist who has shoveled their bullshiat for decades? And now he sees the writing on the wall and will try to do it in a genteel manner with all the dogwhistles in place.

EyeballKid: Glitchwerks: Isn't it a bit odd that so many Fox News castoffs end up with NBC?

Not if you have no illusions whatsoever about what NBC is.

/Go ask Phil Donahue, Keith Olbermann, or Cenk Uygur how liberal the network of Hugh Hewitt, Joe Scarborough, and Stephanie "not quite Park Avenue" Ruhle is.

So, just like his old show on FNC? That's good news.

He's definitely been tainted but he's been shown to be a relatively righteous dude. I'm holding out hope
