Maybe this is the inverse Cubs win, that seals the hellmouth?

All they need is to play against D. Haskins every week.

Porkbelly: All they need is to play against D. Haskins every week.

Their two wins came against a rookie QB playing on a short week & another QB that arguably doesn't belong on an NFL roster.

The Browns have about three more wins in them at the most.

When a team needs a bad streak to end, play the Washington Football Team.  *sigh

And even with their wins, they didn't look very good doing it.  So yeah, it doesn't scream 'playoffs' to me.

/Having 7 teams in the playoffs this year will help, though.

Huh?  How is winning games that they should win, a negative?
And the team they lost to, is Baltimore.

You seem like your just spit-balling here.
In what area of the game, specifically, did you feel they were lacking in either or the last 2 weeks?

They are play-action team, leaning heavy on the run.  A QB isn't gonna have 300 yards, when they have 200 yards on the ground.

I still think it's a farking terrible idea.

/Good luck to you, Brownies.

I didn't say it was a negative. What I said was to not interpret these two victories as something greater ahead. They still aren't that good & won't be until Baker Mayfield is gone.

"Victory Pepper" is the name of my Jackson5 - Beatles cover band.

they will go 5-5 outside the division and 2-4 in the division.   that's a great season by their standards.

Washington: Host their neighbors, the Baltimore Ravens, next Sunday.

I have to imagine the Birds will be heavily favored.

I saw a random side story that the Browns were above .500, and I immediately came here to see if someone on Fark connected this to 2020.  Leaving satisfied.

What down and distance did the Browns have in week 1 against them?  3rd and 41?

I think that my Football Team can beat that...

2nd (or 3rd) and 42!

/you know it's possible

And had the offense not finally found itself, they would've been blown out like in Baltimore.  That D is terrible at giving up yardage; they were extremely fortunate that Haskins was in a giving mood Sunday.

Jesus, how have they gone gone 16 seasons without stumbling ass-backwards into a Week One win? They are 1-19-1 in season openers since the team was created in 1999, that seems ludicrous to me. I wonder what the second fewest Week 1 wins since 1999 is.
