Benevolent Misanthrope: b) Trump will spout so many lies, in such rapid succession, that the cyron won't be able to keep up.

Not sure I like the idea of a Moderator being a fact-checker.  They would do better to hire an independent group to run a chyron in real time, if that were possible.  But it's not because a) no one is that independent and b) Trump will spout so many lies, in such rapid succession, that the cyron won't be able to keep up.

The chyron would move like a stock ticker set to Yakety Sax.

/shut up, auto correct; I meant "chyron," not "Charon"

Now I'm picturing Charo dancing across the stage every time Trump tells a lie

Why do I have the feeling that while we'll be sucking each other's dicks you'll be sucking your own.

Then it would become Charon's song and dance routine, which is about the level of Trump's debating style anyway, so it would be a good fit.

Charon's Song and Dance is the name of my Dead Can Dance polka cover band.

This is the problem. The Democratic nominee is very vulnerable on some fact check issues and even though Trump is the worst, they aren't willing to deal with or even acknowledge their own issues.

A major shot Clinton took in 2016 was when trump told her to release her speeches . Instead of doing the obvious and saying "I will release my speeches if you release your taxes" she just didn't acknowledge it and looked suspicious.

Here Biden is more worried about his past stance on eliminating Social Security and Medicare among many others. They can even fact check him on race relations during the Obama administration. Instead the campaign would rather try and pretend he is perfect than hit Trump with fact checking during the debate.

JFC. Is there anything in the farking universe you won't blame the Democrats for?

The rules have to be agreed to by the campaigns.
This is floating another cave to the right wing.
