Don't you know the standard procedure, and how it usually goes?

After the 160Kg of evidence was acquired, all 80Kg is indexed. Next, the 40Kg gets analyzed before the 10Kg is assessed. All of the evidence found, at 1Kg should be presented in court.

I was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol in 1994. There were about 40 cans of beer in the fridge and 3 or 4 bottles of liquor on the counter. At trial the police entered one can of Budweiser as evidence.

What I particularly liked in the article was the implication (by the juxtaposition of three sentences)  that weed kills people.

"The incident comes in the wake of growing debate and investigation in the use of marijuana and its byproducts by Indian celebrities. The untimely and tragic death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has led an investigation into a possible "drug angle" in the case by the Narcotics Control Bureau. Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested in connection with the case after the NCB found guilty of allegedly procuring cannabis for Rajput. "

Back in the 70s I got busted right after buying an oz of weed ($10/oz was the going rate then).  When I went to court and displayed the evidence against me there was maybe 1 finger of weed in the baggie.  I don't remember what happened, but I didn't go to jail or pay a fine big enough for me to remember.

The local authorities are still trying to get to the bottom of what caused Rajput's death.  This in the midst of a local media frenzy about the case.

Back in the 80s I got busted with about a quarter oz of nice bud. When the cop left his office to file my polaroid, he left my bag right on the desk in front of me.

My friend stood in the door to keep watch, and I stole about half my weed back...then fluffed up the bag they way you would if you were being a dick shorting someone you didn't like or respect very much. We were released on our own recog, and it was a crowning achievement when the we all got in the car and everyone but me and my watchdog friend thought we had no more weed...and I triumphantly produced several choice buds from my shirt pocket.

That small triumph almost made up for the subsequent 40 hours of community service and the scared straight visit to County. Almost.

Why yes, I am white. How could you tell?

Rajput was found hanging.  The provisional ruling was suicide.  According to the reports I've read, he was either depressed or bipolar and had been using prescription medicines.  There's some evidence that he was using drugs nonmedically as well.  I don't know that weed has been ruled out as a factor.

There's some evidence, not conclusive, that weed use can raise the risk of suicide.

WebMD? Really?

What part of "legitimate, peer-reviewed, published in a reputable journal, scientific evidence" did you not understand there, sport?

I'm sure you can dig through their citations to some other website that goes to anotehr website, etc. that eventually goes to some legitimate, peer-reviewed study in a reputable journal.

I'll wait.

*Sigh.*  The study was from McGill University in Montreal.  Here it is:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30758486/

"Although individual-level risk remains moderate to low and results from this study should be confirmed in future adequately powered prospective studies, the high prevalence of adolescents consuming cannabis generates a large number of young people who could develop depression and suicidality attributable to cannabis. This is an important public health problem and concern, which should be properly addressed by health care policy."

So quickly? You reduce your position to name-calling so quickly?

LOL.

Surely a poster of your expertise should be able to come up with some more satisfactory citations that a 'study" filled with such drivel. But no, it seems name-calling is what you are reduced to.

Sad.
