Our 19 year old cat Cassidy passed away in April from kidney disease. She was a really great cat who gave us a lot of love for almost two decades.

It was sad to lose her, but we're glad she was able to have a long, happy life with us.

Sorry to hear. I am sure she is enjoying the rainbow bridge as we speak.

Here's Thor, a 13-hear old cat residing at my parents. My favorite "senior" cat.

My 14 year old Moon is going through kidney disease right now. And yesterday we found he's got a mass in his throat that's making it difficult for him to eat. Back to the vet on Monday to see if they can remove it. He's been a great companion for the 10 years I've had him.

Sorry to hear. Kidney disease is a tough one because it is pretty manageable until the final stages when the cat just hits total renal failure and falls off a cliff.

She had a lot going on in the end, with a growth in her intestines that we were treating with a medication that unfortunately is an insulin agonist, so it gave it diabetes that we had to treat in her last month. She was a sweetheart that took the injections really well.

It hit us hard because we got her from my parents because she was in a litter that my parents' kitten unexpectedly had before they had a chance to get her spayed, so we were there when she was born and there when she passed. The only bright spot to the pandemic is that we've been working from home, so we got to spend a lot of time with her during her last month and a half with us.

We had a cat that birthed four litters before we got her spayed. She lived to the ripe old age of 16. She was always kind of standoffish, but not hostile. In the last few years of her life, though, she became the most affectionate and sociable cat. She always wanted to be around people and loved sleeping in laps more than anything. She was always an indoor-outdoor cat but stayed mostly outdoors, yet during those last couple of years she wanted to stay indoors as much as possible. She had earned it.

We never gave her a name. Just called her "Mama".

Had a cat for 22 years. Last few years were really bad (all teeth gone, barely being able to walk, bladder control halfway gone, etc) but belly rubs welcome up until the last day.

/Still missing that cat
