Well, shiat.  If it's that kind of community I might as well just stick my dick in some mashed potatoes.

From TFA: "A visitor might be surprised that this big-time movie star has a slight lisp."

...writes a reporter who has obviously never actually seen Guzman on screen. His slight lisp has been obvious his entire career.

What he said: "I discovered a new sense of freedom when I came up here. The fresh air, the vibe, growing your own food, solar energy. These guys were doing all that type of stuff. I was going to the quarry and swimming and everybody was butt naked. Oh, hell, yeah!"

What he meant: "I discovered a new sense of freedom and weed when I came up here. The fresh air, the weed, the vibe, the weed, growing your own food and weed, solar energy for growing the weed. These guys were doing all that type of stuff including weed. I was going to the quarry and swimming and smoking weed and everybody was butt naked and smoking weed as well. Weed! - Oh, hell, yeah!"

Yeah, like there was no weed in NYC in the 70s.

Sure, I might be a little surprised to run into Luiz Guzman at the dump, but I used to have to step over Andy Dick every time I dropped off an old appliance. Now I just pay Pauly Shore $5 to haul my junk away.

I mean, it makes sense that one big pile is better than two little piles, and rather than bringing that one up you'd decide to throw your's down.

Did he at least leave an envelope with his address on it at the bottom of the pile?

I can tell you with dead honest certainty that I DID NOT wake up this morning thinking: "I wonder what Luiz Guzman has got going on in his life."

Luis Guzman is a national treasure that elevates everything he's in.

He was the best thing in Pluto Nash

It's because the internet is a magical place. You didn't know you NEEDED to know what was going on with Luiz Guzman, yet, here it is before you. The internet always provides. Yea, when there was only one set of syn/ack handshakes, that was when the internet carried you.

I loved him in IMDB

He was really funny in How to Make it in America too.

It's true. Ever since he became a regular, that dump has been getting rave reviews.

He thinks he's a movie star?

Love him in Out of Sight with Catherine Keener

Old Man Winter: He thinks he's a movie star?

No, he's an actor.

2020-09-26 3:25:39 PM
He also guest starred in the best episode of Miami Vice: Prodigal Son

2020-09-26 3:29:13 PM
I thought he was great as Gooch in Roadies.

/still kinda pissed they canceled it

2020-09-26 3:30:56 PM
He's been fantastic on the last season of Shameless

No, that's the reporter's line. But you keep looking down your nose at him because you hate Latinos.
Jk

Long career in movies?
Check.
Instant name recognition?
Check.
Did projects where his name appeared above the title on the poster?
Check.

Of course Guzman's a movie star. What else would you call his profession?

Darth_Saltine: Luis Guzman is a national treasure that elevates everything he's in.

A lot of people don't notice him, often fast forward through his appearances, but I thought that he was often the best actor featured in Jack Horner's movies

Does Guzman seem like someone who would spell "extraordinaire" correctly?
Check.

He's still winning here.

As Peter O'Toole's character says in My Favorite Year, "I'm not an actor --- I'm a MOVIE STAR!"
There's a difference.   Plenty of actors that aren't movie stars, and vice versa.

Neat story. I've always thought that it must be a pain in the ass to be famous. A few celebrities take the small town route and give their families fairly normal lives. Jeff Daniels is another, with his theater in Chelsea, Michigan.

Guzman was chair of Community Board 3, the Lower East Side, in the eighties. I'm sure he's committed to whichever community he decides to live in, even in Vermont.

Bullshiat, no one would step over Andy Dick. Now, step on is another matter.

Are you crazy? You don't know what's going to leak out of that thing. You might lose your whole leg!
