Still any chance they were dumped on the floor because of the postal orders that the employees were given by the anti-American Trump people?

Competence is not a defining attribute of a conservative.

Which voters do you think are more likely to not be able read and/or follow the instructions to follow the instructions correctly to place their ballot in the secrecy envelop - a Biden voter or a trump voter.

Bonus points for answering without thinking.

That would be numerical order, unless the questions are dated.  I begin to see a possible factor in this problem...

Chronological is also first, second, third, etc.

And I do see your point :)

It's been a long week of remote teaching. I'll make sure to mark my ballot fully, though.

I saw a very compelling video from an extremely high or recently-been-crying Donald Trump Jr that says exactly this.

And be is begging people to join the Trump Election Army so they can watch polling places and voters, including early voters.

I realize that you are teaching elementary school, and you probably don't know the answer, but how would you know if your kids were Biden or Trump supporters.  I'll give you a hint:  I also taught in a blue state.

I mean, we still don't have all the details of how this all happened. Some military ballots were sent out in late August, but there is also a place online for servicemen to print out their own copies of the ballot to fill in by hand and mail in. Did they even have the secondary envelope if they printed their ballot themselves, especially since they surely mailed it before the state Supreme Court deemed it a requirement to use one. And then the DOJ is less than clear if the 2 ballots where they don't know who they voted for had their second envelope opened and resealed as they imply or if they are still secure.

Which is all to say in a just world these ballots should count, but that would also mean others should have theirs counted too.

I hate that any ballots get thrown out and disenfranchise people for asinine reasons.  It undermines faith in the election results and can be used politically to do so by bad faith actors.  See the current kerfuffle.  So....  surely we'll get some bipartisan effort to waive this stupid rule about the privacy sleeve being required, right?  Right?  Hey, is anybody there?

Oh right, subverting the process was the point of the rule to begin with.  Feature, not a bug.  I hate modern politics.

538's prediction is Trump 50.6%, Biden 48.1%, with an overall 63% chance of a Trump victory.  But that 50.6-48.1 prediction isn't a straight average; there's a lot of calculations and secret sauce used to compute that.

Q: Aside from the [stupid] law, how does lack of a "privacy sleeve" invalidate the ballot? The fact that your vote may be seen by a poll worker (who, I assume is sworn to both secrecy and impartiality) does not in any way make that ballot invalid.

Of course, this is all about rejecting the largest possible number of ballots, or at least, throwing them into "question", I get that.

It's enough to make me want to become a poll worker. Or head of the election department. But I live in Mass, where we don't do sh*t like invalidate mail in ballots because they're not in the right envelope.

I did not know that...  I vaguely remember his opponent being replaced last minute by Alan Keyes, but I missed that backstory.  Good on Ms. Ryan for leaving a creep, full stop.  That it gave Obama an assist is pure icing.

2020-09-25 12:55:38 PM
Reminder if you want to be ultra cynical: 9 states (California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington) and Washington DC are going 100% vote by mail. That amounts to 113 electoral votes for Biden in solid Democratic areas vs. 6 electoral votes for Trump in solid Republican areas (none of these states are battlegrounds.)

That means that Biden needs to get 383 electoral votes to not run the risk of the Supreme Court finding in Trump's favor and invalidating all those states' results, which for comparison Obama won in 2008 with 365 electoral votes. If the Supreme Court does that it goes to the House where Trump wins a majority of state delegations.
