I guess this one has a sign in front saying "This isn't the White House"

Drivers who don't look at the directions fully, all they see is a street name and an address number on that street and pay no attention to the NE or SW part. Battle Creek has a little bit of a problem with that as well, due to there being a Capital Ave that has a NE and a SW part, but most of the local delivery drivers are actually from this area and know the difference (that, and Battle Creek is small enough that the local delivery drivers do know better, but the Uber/Lyft drivers from Kalamazoo? They might have to check the street signs).

"We were getting a minimum of 10 doorbell rings a night from delivery drivers despite the fact that my house is obviously not a Buffalo Wild Wings."

Jesus Christ.  The first couple times it happens, haha, I get it.  After a while it would be hard not to at least comment on their stupidity.

Both owned by Yum foods.

All the very worst chains are Yum foods.

Name a type:
Pizza, Pizza Hut
Tacos, Taco Bell
Chicken, KFR (R rat)
Sandwiches, Arby's
Wings, BWW
Burgers, Booger King

The worst food of just about all types is a Yum Foods brand.
I think it's because Yum Foods is Japanese and is run by a natto lover. Never eats western food.

I'm not 100% sure that's correct.....Wiki says Inspire Brands owns Arby's and BWW. While Yum! owns the following:

KFC (including XL variant)
Pizza Hut
Taco Bell
WingStreet[21]
Banh Shop (minority investor)
The Habit

When I lived in Savannah, I had basically the same phone number as some independent seafood place. Mine was 354- and theirs was 352- (IIRC, might have been the other way). This was late 1980s, before cell phones were common.

I think they were only open Thursday - Saturday based on the call pattern. Finally gave in, started taking orders. The place eventually went out of business

Yum found a sucker to buy Arby's. Looks like they are buying up all the rest of the worst too. Jimmy John's gives Arby's a run for 'shiat sandwich'.

Although I'm not a huge fan of Jimmy John's on the whole, when I need a loaf of french bread, a day old loaf is only like $50 cents at my local franchise.

I'm a little baffled why you think UberEats and doordash drivers are trumpers. If anything this is the result of many of them being immigrants that don't know much English.

I actually prefer Hooters if I had the choice. Three BWW locations in my area have opened and closed in a 5 year span. The service, food and beers have all sucked. The food was overly salty, even for bar fare, and we were basically ignored by an apathetic wait staff.

The lone Hooters? Meh food, decent beers, decent service. Back when league softball was a thing, we'd be regulars and would get good service because they knew a bunch of guys would have a good time and spend money. Guys would be flirty, and the girls would play the game and playfully shut them down, which was great entertainment

I'm surprised they're not using GPS navigation.  At least on Android it's trivially easy for an app to programmatically pass an address to Google Maps and tell it to start navigating.  Surely these drivers are using an Uber Eats or Doordash app to receive orders, and those companies know the correct addresses of restaurants.

2020-09-25 10:06:12 PM
I delivered some for Postmates between regular job projects.  The app tells you where to go to pickup orders, so the drivers are following GPS from their company.  In Chicago a number of restaurants have set up kitchens solely for delivery orders and those places aren't always clearly marked.  Stupid that the error in the app wasn't fixed in a day or two.

Jimmy John's owner turns out to be some horrible right-winger. Too bad; when I've been in places that had them, they make a decent sandwich on decent bread (unlike Subway, which goes out of its way to make really bad bread.)

Salt Lake City is another place with the North/East/South/West address problem, though they tend to have addresses like 21 North 7 West.

billstewart: Salt Lake City is another place with the North/East/South/West address problem, though they tend to have addresses like 21 North 7 West.

Tulsa is horrible with this too.

If you get an address like 9741 E 56th St, it's actually 9741 East 56th St South. SE Tulsa is the default because that's where they wouldn't like Black people live under they were forced to. So if you're looking for the Airgas NE Tulsa location, you have to make sure you put the 'N' for North in the GPS.

Also there is a 9741 South 56th Ave East, but not 9741 South 56th Ave West because the city of Sand Springs OK gets in the way. And potentially a 9741 North 56th Av East and West.

Weird shiat, people.
