"If President Trump wants to get my vote, he's going to have to prioritize climate change in a way that he has not done over the past four years," says Backer.

Wow, so you guys have figured out you have to live long enough to amass enough wealth to no longer care ?  Was there some sort of estate tax passed that I haven't heard about ?  Or are you guys not bootstrappy enough to have a sizeable inheritance ?  Oh well, welcome aboard I suppose - not actively hindering is at least something.  Baby Steps.

"I am intelligent enough to understand that the environment is an issue that is particularly important to me, since I'm so very young and will be forced to live on an increasingly unlivable Earth long after the leaders who are ignoring the damage they're inflicting are now dead and will no longer care. However, what's more important to me is working to ensure that the systemic systems of racial and sexual oppression that have worked to the benefit of my parents and grandparents continue to work to my own benefit as well. If they can't, then I'm just not sure that saving the environment is worth it."

I feel bad for the guy. He clearly is not rich enough to afford climate-change resistant underground bunkers and henchmen with shock collars. And starting some non-profit organization is not going to get him the kind of money he'll need for heavy-duty nuclear winter proof shielding.
