Mark Jackson just made reference to Dragic's ability to make shiat.  Not sure if relevant?

Is he better at making shait than others? Probiotics, fiber?

I've heard rumors about the Slovenian diet, but I don't know any details.

I love hearing them talk about Herro going at 13 in the draft, when the Celtics probably would have taken him with the next pick.  No mention of the Celtics pick at 14 . . . Romeo Langford.  Is he still alive?  Don't think I've heard his name since that day.  Wherefore art thou, Romeo?  The G-league?

50% of the time, they win every time!

Having generally poor vision, I'm much happier when they have the contrasting uniforms.  The black Heat/Green Celtic uniforms cause me all kinds of trouble.

Celtics already starting with the sloppy telegraphed passes.

Heyward shouldn't be guarding anyone on the court except Robinson

Uh oh, old man fell down

Robinson has a punchable face.

I don't see it in their eyes. They look like they're working hard, but their eyes look defeated.

Do you know how good Miami's offense has to be to help a guy who's 6'9", and can't score from more than 5 feet out, put up 15-20 a game?

And I love Adebayo.  But he can't score at any distance

A dopey faced three point assassin, and they don't bother defending him...

They just need a few things to go right for them so they can gain their "hope" back.

Listening to Michael Irvin do a radio interview and he was talking about the Cowboys game last week. He said, "Those kind of games build hope in a team." In the future, if they get down they can still be fired up. They have hope because they've done it before. That hope keeps them fighting until the last minute. Now he went on and on because he loves talking about the Cowboys and I actually enjoy listening to that. But he compared it to the Denver Nuggets.

They have hope. They have been down 3-1...twice, I believe and came back and won. Now they find themselves down 3-1 a third time. They have hope built up by their previous and recent experience.

The Celtics don't have that. They don't have that for one game, one series, or this entire playoffs. They don't have confirmation that they can do this.

That being said, they have a lot of playoff experience. They need to draw on all the lessons they've learned and use it tonight and hopefully for the rest of the series.

They've been doing reasonably well, most of the time, until tonight

As was revealed in Boys Will Be Boys, Irvin uses 'hope' as a code word for 'cocaine'.

I kid.  I never would've imagined him being as interesting to listen to as he is.

And I don't read a lot of sports books anymore, *or* a lot of tell-all books, but Boys Will Be Boys was a lot of fun

Game 1 they left him open all the time. Then they started going at him offensively and he started committing fouls. That took him a little of the game.

Whichever team scores the most points is probably gonna take this game. I can feel it. Might even check the Vegas odds - I got a hot hand.

Pretty sure we just saw Spo's poop face

took him out of the game...somebody must have said "a little" just as I was typing.

The entire offense is built around the shot that Dragic passed up from 3

Smart is playing for the fouls, instead of for the layups.

It has to be a back and forth with interviewers, HOPEfully two or three friendly interviewers that just want to hear him talk.

He's fine on pregame shows or whatever, but not nearly as interesting as when he's asked good questions.

They haven't been in sync this whole series.

Kendrick Perkins (I think) said they were playing "My Turn" ball.

One guy makes a shot, then the next guy says, "Great job, now it's my turn." and so on.

Absolutely.  Taking turns playing iso ball, the entire series, and they've demonstrated that they *can* play team ball. Think we might've talked about it earlier in the series.

I wonder if there are multiple guys who feel they need to prove something on the big stage?  It sucks because, again, they've proven that they can play well the other way

Noooooo. He had success because Garnett and Pierce were in lockstep. He wouldn't have that here.

I mean how many times can you lose when up 3-1 and be taken seriously? He's had stacked teams out there, too.

2020-09-25 9:40:51 PM
They won't mention Kanter's predictably awful D.  Went up in the air because . . . Herro was close to him?  I think?

Was a travel, he slid.

But I'm all for Kanter, I've told my Free Enes story in one of these threads.  Glad Boston freed Enes

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that he just gets out of players' way, for better or worse.

And yeah, 3 times isn't a coincidence anymore.  Or just Paul George related

He's no good on defense. He needs to be in there when everybody else is good at defense and the opposing team doesn't have a physical threat inside on the court. Get a few baskets out of him, then get him out of there.

Absolutely.  They've got Kanter *and* Heyward right now

Grabbed his arm before the shot which was an uncalled foul, he slid and traveled, which was uncalled Walker started his flop before the ball got to his face. Completing the flop is what caused the whistle to blow.  Drew attention to what otherwise would have been a nothing play.

Whatever.

"Hostile act."  Hilarious

This time Dragic grabbed an arm, and Walker immediately freaked out to draw attention to it..  No idea what they'll call.

Van Gundy's right, they need to punish Kemba

Shut up...it's not like they review every play. Just so happens there were two close to each other. Then there will be a long stretch of play.

2020-09-25 9:50:05 PM
Kind of hope the refs keep pissing Van Gundy off.  Always fun.  But really, don't want the refs taking over this game

Doubling Kanter now.

Tatum isn't right.  This is like the tenth ball he's lost off a foot.

That's what we said in the first half the other night. Then he dropped a million points in the second half.

What's not right is his mentality.
