I'm sure he's a smart guy. Unfortunately he's ambitious when ambition is not the thing needed in these times.

The problem is to be a republican a person has to abandon all good ethics and morals.  The KY republican AG is following AG Barr's example of ignoring and breaking laws for political purposes.

He doesn't give a shiat if liberals or black political groups call him an "Uncle Tom". If anything, he's probably Clarence Thomas' replacement on the SC if Trump wins and Thomas steps down.

Just like Barrett is likely RBGs replacement, right wingers gladly play "identity politics" for the purposes of stigginit.

I haven't piled on the guy because there's a question I need answered from the FARK law-talking-people.  Did he really have an option, under the laws as they existed at that time, to bring any other charges?

This strikes me as a "fog of war" type situation, where the totally stupid co-existence of no-knock warrants and castle doctrine means that both Walker and the cops can be justified in shooting.  It was only a matter of time before this situation caused the death of an innocent person.

Remember, prosecutors can sway grand juries to indict a ham sandwich. If the prosecutor doesn't want an indictment, it won't happen.

We need more ham sandwiches in policing.

FBI investigation into Breonna Taylor case continues even after grand jury indicts officer

The FBI's Civil Rights Division, based in Washington, D.C., is working with the Louisville Field Office on the investigation.

The Civil Rights Division can charge individuals under nine Title 18 civil rights statutes, including deprivation of rights under the color of law. Those violations include excessive force, false arrest, obstruction of justice or deprivation of medical care.

Court records show that on March 12, Louisville police obtained a warrant with a no-knock provision for Taylor's apartment, though police and prosecutors have said the officers knocked and announced themselves before battering in the door.

The steps police took to secure that search warrant, part of a broader narcotics investigation, have been questioned by attorneys for Taylor's family.

Rounds shot into the neighbor's house not resulting in any injuries resulted in a criminal charge.

The six rounds that entered Breonna Taylor and killed her did not.

Police have a right to bust in your door unannounced at midnight and shoot you but they do not have the right to shoot into the apartment next door and not hurt anyone.

Police will give you burger king and bottled water if you are a white killer but they will not give you air to breathe just for being black.

Well I don't know what FTA says behind the paywall, but I'll take some guesses why he doesn't have as many fans as he'd like.  Democrats don't support him because we don't support the party of evil shiatheads.  So what about Reblicans?  Found the answer in thread...

Alphax: The guy who just married a granddaughter of Mitch McConnell?

Republicans typically don't support "race mixing" so there is your answer.  Non-racist Republicans do exist in the modern (Trump) GOP still... in about the same frequency as Black Republicans and sober Fark Mods.

He's a sell-out.

He gets a great position and good money for toting the party line (and yes, it does work both ways). You can call him an Uncle Tom, but a better name might be Judenrat. Getting paid NOW is easier to understand than the risk of being in the wrong part of the state, at the wrong time, at night. Also, he just married Mitch McConnell's granddaughter - so he is in the money now.

A grand jury will famously indict a ham sandwich.  If they don't indict on charges, it is on the AG.  Typically in cop cases they throw the case.  See the case in Chicago where a cop shot a kid then testilied his ass off proven false by video (which of course was never shown to the grand jury.  Only one side is allowed to produce evidence in a show trial, and this time it wasn't the prosecution).

ACAB.  But the real enablers are the DAs as much as the unions and those who sign the contracts.  And the DA's evil is premeditated and done over months of planning, not the heat of the moment like cops.

I mean, it's not a conspiracy to remove the context of a quote, just more dumb shiat from the right wing. Add it to the pile.

The quote is "if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black.".

He's referring to undecided voters, and being way too generous by assuming all people vote for their own best interests. I'm sure Daniel Cameron has no trouble figuring out who he's for this election, he's more than willing to work for people that consider him less deserving of human rights than they are.

But if that's all ya got, run with it I guess.

/Won't lie that comic upthread is also pretty funny lol.

This is the same son of a biatch who shrugged his shoulders when someone hung the governor in effigy at the Governor's Mansion, but when protestors dared step on his lawn, he tried to charge them all with felonies.

This is a prime example of why cabinet offices should not be elected.  You know this asshole is going to use his time as AG to grandstand and to prepare to run for Governor in 2023.

The one about a Chicago cop beating a bartender almost to death  for refusing to continue serve him after closing all on video and he claimed self defense and the DA refused to even bring charges  against the cop is another example.

He is bound to the law and cannot make up charges that do not exist.  I saw that he was very conflicted with what he had to tell everyone and was not satisfied with the outcome, but the law is the law.  I think his disappointment was in the 'vigorous self defense' laws that Kentucky has.  The fact that the officers were fired upon makes those self defense laws come into effect and pretty much hold the police, or anyone else for that matter, harmless.

But if it makes you feel good.. call him an uncle Tom or sellout and show your racism and ignorance.

I'm just guessing here, but doesn't Kentucky have a law against killing people?

If not, that seems like a huge oversight.
