How else would an albino deer get to work? Hard to ride a bike with those hooves.

To put it mildly - I enjoyed the hell out of that.
Thank you for posting it, Smitty!

There is a silo tree about a mile from my house.  I guess I'll have to capture an image.

Around 5 years ago, we went on a vacation to the Olympic Peninsula. Fantastic place. On the drive back we stopped at a beach that was a famous landscape. It was breath-taking. You just pulled the camera out and started to snap pictures. No need to frame. Everything was great. I got a wonderful shot of the fog just racing in. A little film clip. 30 seconds or so.

I can't find it anywhere..

re: The picture of the baby grasshoppers.

In my early 20s, one summer I lived in a rural shack. No running water. Drinking water had to be brought in bottles. A rain barrel for washing up. One morning before work, I went out to get the washing up water, and saw that the surface of the barrel was covered in freshly hatched, tiny praying mantises. What's the diameter of a barrel? 30 inches? So, imagine a 30 inch circle of tiny interlocked praying mantises. Like an MC Escher print. It was hypnotic. And the beauty part? They were all nodding their heads so that it looked like a Busby Berkeley dance number.

There was a thunderstorm that afternoon that overflowed the barrel and washed them all away.
