What the ACTUAL FARK?!

Thank God this isn't a Tampa doc or else he'd be likely to get MRSA too.

2020-09-23 12:21:51 PM
That's a serious f*ck-up and that doc should be screwed.

I'm starting to get the feeling that NFL teams don't care even a little bit about the welfare of the players.

2020-09-23 12:31:53 PM
Well, that explains it... he was on the field warming up and suddenly he didn't start

Wow!

"Just a little stick."
*cough*
"Oh fark."

Fun fact, per Schefter: When a player accepts team medical care, they cannot sue per the CBA.

The NFL is f*cked up.

Newsflash:  People make mistakes.  Even doctors make mistakes.

Another example of a mistake would be announcing that Taylor is still your starting QB when he's healthy.  Not only did Herbert look far better than Taylor did, he did it against the Chiefs, not the Bengals.  Herbert should be the starter for the rest of the season.

I mentioned this to my wife, a doctor, and she instantly cringed. Apparently a pneumothorax, and the accompanying chest tube, hurts much more than cracked or bruised ribs. Good luck, Tyrod.

There's already ample evidence from past seasons that Tyrod Taylor is no more than merely a competent, won't-lose-you-the-game-but-don't-expect-him-to-win-it-for-you-either QB. The only argument at this point for not naming Herbert the starter just yet is if at this point all the plays they ran last week were the extent of the playbook he's actually comfortable with.

Good point.  He certainly made his share of rookie mistakes too.  Heck, that INT cost them the game.  I would still rather have him make those mistakes now and not next year.  I would prefer they draft in the top 10 again too since they have to completely rebuild their O line.

Nah.  They're still the Chargers.  Doesn't matter who is playing or who they're playing.  Doesn't matter where they're playing.  Chargers gonna choke.  They always do.  You get used to it.

@zachzachzach
The Chargers doctor before this one was also a huge problem.
-2 DUIs
-raided by DEA for writing himself 108 prescriptions
-malpractice for severing a patients artery
-malpractice lawsuits for multiple career ending misdiagnoses
-loses surgery license in 2013.

That me be an argument to NOT play Herbert as much to ensure he is still a available next year!

This Dr is now a contributing member of Outkick.com That is the website/media company of Clay Travis. He's a sanctimonious troll that also recently partnered with Jason Whitlock after he got fired from Fox.

I like the emphasis on "his own quarterback" like it would be more acceptable if the doc was chasing down the opponent QB coming out of the tunnel, syringe in hand.

That sounds like more of a Patriots move.

"Show me the rule where it says your doctor CAN'T punch a hole in the opposing QB's lungs."
