Guns are so 2019.

You can do better. Spread some 155mm love.

The Army took that from me when I retired. Bastards.

Not the Army's fault you considered a howitzer your personal defense device.  It was a 105mm for goodness' sake.

105, 155, 8 inch, 270. Was fortunate enough to have been able to shoot a fire mission on all of them.

aungen: Eli WhiskeyDik: OhioFark: Eli WhiskeyDik: Why would the IL National Guard be on stand by for a possible incident in Kentucky?

They're afraid things might happen in Chicago

Valid point. I didn't think about that.

Things will happen in Chicago no matter which way the verdict goes.  The amplitude is the only thing that will change.

Chicago doesn't even need a reason to kill each other. This just gives them cover to burn and loot. Christmas is coming, don't you know.

If I have to go, I want it to be so fast and overwhelming I don't even know it happened.  Lets do a meteor, or maybe an 18" to the noggin.  Preferably with a high-speed go-pro uploading with very low latency.  America's Funniest Home videos, here I come!

way south: cameroncrazy1984: I just thought of something. What if they release the bodycam footage and it's actually much worse than what we've been told, and that's why the lockdown?

The lockdown is happening because there's an outrage machine that will cause the city to burn down regardless of what the court outcomes are.
People aren't interested in evidence anymore than the lack of it. They don't want to hear a legal argument. Justice is irrelevant. They want to have a jubilee and it does not matter who is at fault. They'll burn down some low income housing or minority owned businesses just as soon as they'll torch a courthouse.  There's no methodology in a social disaster.

The city can't control the ruling and it knows that it might not even matter. So it must presume there will be a riot and make preparations to cut arrest agitators and protect the public as well as the city itself.
That they're already hurting for manpower just means they'll have to be that much more serious about their preparations.

This, 100 times. It has never been about justice for anyone.

2dogsrunning: jso2897: Look - maybe my logic is off - but in a country that has a second amendment and where people have the right to arm and protect themselves, I don't see how we can allow "no-knock" warrants to be served excepting with an understanding that those who choose to do so will do so at their own risk, not be indemnified against the consequences.
These guys broke into an innocent citizen's home, unannounced and with guns out - and people got shot.
That can't be on anybody but them. If it is, then your precious Second Amendment means nothing, and your right to bear arms can be cancelled by any trigger happy nimrod with a badge.
And if the authorities aren't willing to accept that level of responsibility, they need to stop issuing no knock warrants.

I'm with you. A venn diagram of Second amendment fanatics and people who think the cops were right seem to be a perfect circle. Yet this is true infringement on second amendment rights if law enforcement can kill you without consequence after showing up unannounced

They were allowed to have guns. Nobody took them.

Oh, didn't you see? Some lawyer claims they knocked and announced themselves. I'm sure there's proof of that and it's not an obvious lie being lent the benefit of the doubt by a compromised court system.

If they intended to announce themselves, why would they need a no knock warrant?

Good luck finding one for sale. I went to Bass Pro over the weekend just to , maybe, pick up some ammo... they had almost no guns of any kind in stock and aside from 30-06 and 12gauge they had no ammo to speak of either.

and the only stuff available on CheaperThanDirt is a bunch of  never heard of them brands, and even that is in short supply ammo wise.

S'why I picked the 30-06. Now if there were just some earthly way for one person to cover all 3 exits...

/didn't quite think that one thru

The good thing with 30-06 ammo is it's pretty much readily available. Built my first AR earlier this year and have watched 5.56 and .223 ammo become scarce as hell and creep up significantly in cost.

Thankfully 7.62x39 is easier to get and cheaper which I'm sure is making a lot of AK guys feel superior right now.
/myself included as I just purchased an AK because I've always wanted to be like Ice Cube and not need it today

And now, the government will circle the wagons and only protect government property and government officers as the riots and looting begin.

Grab your guns, citizens. Government not only has no duty to protect individual citizens, but when the chips are down and shiat is hitting the fan, they'll abandon you in a split second and leave you to rot.

It's a Grand Jury

The DA is under no obligation to actually present the evidence in such a way as to obtain an indictment

Yep. Same thing happened with the Michael Brown case in Ferguson.

Of course, we could be adults and realize that overcharging can result in a acquittal.  (Casey Anthony)
Ya morans are arguing for a continued, but equitable drug war.

Also, since the warrant was obtained, the officers may only be liable for the manner in which they executed it.  We can argue for a legal change but that NEVER affects the past.  Again, time to back off the drug war EVEN at the expense of a greater number of victims of overdosing.   Make no mistake, the calls to save the victims of the drugs themselves from the LEFT were just as culpable in the uneven sentencing that got us here.

Quite right. A drug is not a weapon, it's a tool, like a hammer or a screwdriver or an alligator.

So it turns out the police knocked, Taylor was not in bed but was in the hallway while current boyfriend shot at police.

Maybe don't sleep with a gun?

Guns are the only reason this lady died.
The cops and the boyfriend both should not have had guns. Should have not used said guns.

Or not? Enjoy getting shot, then
I give up

Well to be fair,
There's a tiny chance her house was being used without her knowledge as a drop off and pick up point.
So obviously it was a good thing that she got shot.
Right?

King Something: .

Frankly it's a miracle they didn't charge him with murder for the police killing her. Their argument could easily have been that his "felonious" actions (returning fire at intruders who did not announce their presence before opening fire) directly caused the death of someone who had died before he fired his first shot.

And no one sees how telling that is

High capacity is a thing. But, most people who actually use guns for real and not play. See those as only for idiots that can't hit the side of a barn.
