Celtics win. Just a feeling.

I like the shootaround/workout interview.

Here we go.

Naido: I like the shootaround/workout interview.

Have to wonder if it messes up their rhythm at all

The Heat have scored exactly 106 points in regulation for the first 3 games. All the Celtics have to do is score more than 106 points in regulation.

I wondered if the less formalized process might get players to open up more.  Hard to say, that's the only time I've seen it done. Must've been nice for Rachel, not having to stand on a milk carton and *still* develop a neck cramp

The Celtic killing refs on the same floor tonight.

Let's just get that out there now.

If Adebayo is guarding you then just pass the damn ball.  Don't feel like you need to prove something

Btw, guys, I think our comment volume during game 3 may go down as the greatest upset in NBA history

We'll see how this game goes if I have another 87 comment effort in me.

I honestly wondered if Jaylen Brown or another player was gonna sit out the game in protest

Rebounding seems to be ok.

2020-09-23 9:11:17 PM
Free throws, however.

I like Robert Williams strength and hustle, but he's a bit clumsy with the ball at times.

First time Miami has outscored the Celtics in the first quarter.

His foot was in the air, how is that "set"?

2020-09-23 9:21:59 PM
Herre we go with Herro again.

Tatum yet to score

When they cut away to coaching staff I'm black shirts and pants, it's like a live look at an Auto Zone

Big offensive rebound for Theiss

2020-09-23 9:34:04 PM
He threw it to the ref. Like that time the guy threw it to the Raptors coach.

Building a chimney out there.

Both teams.  More than a chimney

Hey, somebody made a field goal.

2020-09-23 9:37:33 PM
That was called a charge on Tatum early in the game.

I'm too old to wear the same shoes as Walker, but they certainly are interesting

If they are comfortable wear them

one of my favorite pairs, fit me perfectly

Part of too old is, I can't imagine paying that much for sneakers.  Exception:  been considering the re-releases of several of the pairs of Jordans that I had as a kid

I wear a specific model from Skechers. I chose this particular shoe because there was no mesh for water from puddles to get through. I have bought these same shoes seven times in a row after the last however many years.

I still have a new pair waiting, I just started using my casual pair at work. My work pair I keep around for times when I just need shiatty shoes.

If you like adidas they have great sales and in my opinion the most comfortable shoes

Someone needs to tell Heyward:  rapscallions who engage in that kind of skullduggery can find themselves engaged in fisticuffs

Used 'engage' twice.  Dammit

2020-09-23 9:45:06 PM
Herro had the shot.

2020-09-23 9:46:18 PM
This reminds me of one of the opening games of the Final Four, when neither team is used to shooting in massive arenas, and both teams shoot 30% or so in the first half

2020-09-23 9:46:43 PM
Celtics needed that stop. They need points. Then not let some desperation shot go in at the buzzer.

2020-09-23 9:47:29 PM
I think that Tatum's gonna go nuts in the 2nd half

2020-09-23 9:47:30 PM
No points from Tatum, only up 6

2020-09-23 9:47:52 PM
No points, but the desperation shot doesn't go in. I don't know why Adebayo thought taking a three was a good shot.

2020-09-23 9:49:41 PM

WillofJ2: No points from Tatum, only up 6

Yeah, but we've had trends like that all series. "Heat missed 15 straight three pointers, only down 8." "Butler with 7 points into the 4th quarter only down 5."

2020-09-23 9:50:51 PM
I keep forgetting that the local guys are talking about the game during halftime.

2020-09-23 9:52:09 PM
I know it seems like I need my binky home-town announcers, but it's more that they have more depth and knowledge about my team. The national half-time talks about the game with their limited knowledge. Then they do their puff pieces, and talk about a different series.

NBC Sports Boston they're talking only about this game for the entire halftime.

2020-09-23 9:56:09 PM
I would love if for one game the Celtics went into the locker room and just turned on the half-time show. Scalabrine is one of my favorite dudes. I was close to actually doing a job at his house this year! I haven't heard that we aren't, but it seems like a lot of time has passed.

But I like his analysis.

When the Celtics lost to the Lakers in the finals in 2010, I think it was...he called into the morning show I listen to and listening to him talk was like he had taken his own gut punch. He had been up all night. His call was a mix of things he thought about the game and also his feelings about the loss.

That game was ridiculous. The Celtics were in charge for most of the game. Refs letting them play. Then in the fourth quarter they just started calling every foul.

Totally understand that, I do the same thing with several teams.  The network coverage, especially deep in the playoffs, tends to be much more geared toward a general audience.  Accessible even to people who aren't fans
