Disney: This is the pay.

Article mentions the two stuntmen on set who often jump into scenes in place of Pascal. Good thing Favreau doesn't have access to voiceover technology, Pedro.

"(This is) another example of how people are trying to damage the Star Wars brand for a personal beef or profit from it on social media," they said.

I think the sequel trilogy did more than anyone on social media could at this point.

Unless they cast The Mountain as the next bad guy he fights.

He knew he had to wear the helmet 99% of the time, right? RIGHT?
IT'S BASICALLY WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT!

I have zero problems with this douchebag getting ejected out an airlock and bringing in a replacement. Finish that storyline at the end of the season 2 and let him expand "his brand" elsewhere.

Wait you mean a You Got this Covered story (Pascal Leaving) turned out to be wrong?  That never happens Narrator: It happens all the time.

No, that's ridiculous!

The show was a surprise hit and is sure to have at least one more highly anticipated season, so it makes sense that he would leave that.  Please click on my site.

No! You mean another rumor...from some of the same people that were POSITIVE Brie Larson was being replaced as Captain Marvel, and that Rotten Tomatoes lies about its critical scores to help disney were LYING?? I am SHOCKED I say...SHOCKED!!!

That's hilarious. There literally isn't any actor more replaceable. Except maybe Shelly Long.

There's a lot of people getting mad in here.

This is quite literally fake news.  It's a rumor made up by a YouTuber named Grace Randolph who has dubious credentials and a beef with LucasFilm.  Literally none of her "news from inside sources" has been true.  The is using this rumor to justify the fact that she was wrong about the release date of The Mandalorian trailer.

In short, never happened.

But he WAS told to leave the set and go home while they finished shooting with out him?

His beef was made out to be about how they're trying to branch out and serialize the shows other characters instead of the titular character being the focus.

2020-09-23 9:02:40 AM
This just in - I'm reportedly not leaving my job.

Also, he does the voice-over for the character, and is rarely in costume.  This is probably the easiest highest paying gig an actor could ask for. I'd believe it if he was negotiating for more money in future seasons because he's integral to the show.

Take your Greco-Roman epic, add a dash of Samurai, a dash of Eurocentric fantasy magic and witch craft, and you put it in the stew. Let it brew and boil down until everything is mixed together until you have a hearty, yet cultureless roux, add in some sci-fi techno gadgetry to make it pop and there's bouillabaisse.

OMG...that idiot. I lost count of the number of fools who followed that tool...and believed every word he said. Sadly, Lucas ALMOST made it believable with some of his comments on Empire Strikes back, whice remains The best Star Wars film, in part, because he had so little to do with it.

If you're like me and don't care, there's just no need to even bother clicking the links.  I'm more of a watch something, enjoy it, or turn it off, then there's no real need to discuss it over and over again.

WHY IN THE FARK ARE WE STILL LINKING TO WE GOT THIS COVERED?

It's a notorious clickbait site that literally just makes up stories to generate clicks. Its "sources" are anonymous Redditors and Youtubers with 78 views per video. It's one of the most laughable, least credible sites in the geek-sphere and we should not be giving them traffic or attention.

This has become such a tired bit of revisionist history, too, and one that just speaks to ignorance about how movies are made

Hmmm, Star Wars' initial cut was a rough everything-and-the-kitchen-sink draft that was cut into shape by the editor?

Gosh, never happened before in cinema history! Star Wars in totally unique in that regard!

Nah, as the Raiders story conference transcript proves, Lucas (back then) was coming up with all the story material, and was genuinely creatively on fire.

Kasdan organized it into a more eloquent form. Virtually none of Brackett's draft was used at all.

Lucas did lose his marbles at some point, but circa late 70's/early 80's, he really was that good.

Yep, she may have done herself in with this one.  This was not some stupid, meaningless rumor ("I heard Christopher Walken will play the Mandolorian's father next season") that will be easily forgotten.  This was a series-ending claim that will haunt her for awhile.

This "revisionist history" you're complaining about comes from people like Mark Hamill and George Lucas.  I mean, she won the Academy Award for editing Star Wars so she must have done something right.

All this is based on Pascal's unhappiness during season 2 production. He even walked off the set for a while. The linked article doesn't actually add any new information. It just assumes that Pedro is still unhappy.

Lucas doesn't want to talk about his wife editing it as well. except it's been well documented that Marshall Lucas's editing team basically saved the film which was cruising to be a poorly constructed disaster. Star wars was saved in large part to John Williams brilliant score and Marsha Lucas's editing skills.
