NC is pretty evenly split between Republicans and Democrats, yet for some reason our state legislature is about 75% Republican. Some. Reason.

No shiat. NC is basically the birthplace of gerrymandering. It's goddamn awful and what we got doesn't represent shiat,

You either show up with identification proving your citizenship or no vote! Voting is not a right, it's a privilege. Check out the Constitution, I think you will agree

Voters are free to make a Citizens Arrest when they see an illegal voting. In fact they are obligated to stop illegals from voting.

That was a pathetic group of ugly women. Conservative women are far more attractive which explains why most heterosexual men vote Republican. TRUMP 2020!

Then again it is...

Thank the Koch Brothers for using North Carolina as their playground in the 2010 midterms. They dumped millions into state races right after Obama won and royally farked the state with tea baggers.

...new guidance to county boards explaining residents won't be forced to start over from scratch in casting votes if a witness fails to sign or provide an address on the envelope containing their absentee ballot.

How farking hard is it to follow simple instructions, America?  Jfc.

That is hilarious in more than one way.

Years ago my brother's dumbass friend showed up with a hat that read "Barley Legal". Nice enough guy, but so clueless. He says he got the hat custom made at the mall t-shirt shop in honor of his 21st birthday. I was a little impressed at his play on words, and made some comment about barley and being old enough to buy beer. "Nuh uh. It says Barely..." Went back for a refund, turns out the shop printed exactly what he wrote down, no refund, but dude decided he didn't see the difference and kept wearing it. That was the part that amused me.

Just come out and say "we don't want nonwhites to vote because we might lose" already. C'mon, no sense in dancing endlessly around it year after year.

WI too, and we will likely never be able to shake them loose because of the way the state is gerrymandered.  Too bad our college graduates usually leave the state once they finish school.

I had a 'Brightflight' scholarship in 1989, for staying in Missouri with a very high ACT score.  $1000 per semester.

Too bad my grades were terrible.. but then I think there's something off about colleges that are proud of their washout rate.

The first thing the Democrats have to pass if they get control is the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Then get the FEC fully staffed.

Dems won't be able to pass any kind of significant reform that stays in place if elections continue to be unfair. Arrest those who have committed election fraud in places like Georgia. Require all 50 states to have redrawn districts approved by the FEC. Things would change dramatically in places like Wisconsin  and NC.

I drove through a mostly black and poor neighborhood of Sanford, NC the other day.  Almost every house had a Biden - Harris sign in front of it.  One after the other.

The NC GOP better hope their gerrymandered districts are locked tight.  It's the only way they'll stay in power.

Oh, and the NC GOP can go EABOD.

Have to reform the FEC so it can't be hamstrung

I have a very hard time answering that myself.  I would leave, given the chance.  My wife and kids may not appreciate that, however.

It's understandable.  Easier for college students since they have far fewer attachments
