I don't know how Tubi falls under "regular-ass TV all over again," unless Fox has changed it in more ways that I've realized since they acquired it.

/Tubi was just what I watched Long Way Round/Long Way Down on and almost never looked at again.
//I'll watch Long Way Up when I get the free year of Apple TV that will come with my iPhone 12.

If you like B movies and bad horror from the 70s and 80s, Tubi is a solid choice. I watch that more than netflix these days

Or maybe television is just way more important to you than it really should be.

I notice you call it television and not TV just like me. I don't call it TV because TV is a nickname and nicknames are for friends and television is no friend of mine.

Like Shudder, Shout, and possibly Boomerang and Stage. Great joke. Honest Trailers has been so widely mocked on the internet it's a wonder they're still in business.

1. I've never once heard anyone mock them. And I just looked around to try and find some mockery. I'm sure someone is mocking them, but you know...

2. Why would people mocking them put them out of business? If this worked, Trump would be a hobo by now.

3. They've been nominated for four Emmys. Not exactly something at risk of being mocked into oblivion.

I've been watching lots of Mystery Science Theater on there. Not sure why since I can watch them ad-free in other ways, but....oh well still free

I have Youtubetv. After their most recent price increase it's almost not worth it vs. what I was paying for cable. I realize this has been beaten to death, but I only watch about 10 channels regularly. Is there truly no way to just charge me 2 or 3 bucks each month for those? I can watch all of the movies I want for free on Cinema. I really just need the sports package.

Spectrum now has some kind of package like that. My parents use it. Some farker was going on about how they don't like it, but I forgot why.

Sling is only $30 for both basic packages which may or may not have what you want.  (10 channels x $3/mo = $30, so maybe that works?)

The problem comes down to sports though, as it depends on what you need.  Spectrum are being pricks about their sports channels, so you're stuck paying $80 anyway you slice it.  Sinclair owns the Fox RSNs now and they've pulled them from damn near every service except AT&T Now and Hulu Live I think.  Sling has a $10 tier with a bunch of sports channels, but everyone wants something different.

Tubi also has a pretty solid selection of documentaries. I watched Hype! a little while ago and Man on Wire and one about a Chicago brewery that made an Anti-Trump beer.
