I'm not watching that shiatshow.  I'll wait for highlights of Dotard shiatting the bed if it happens.

I haven't watched a debate or SOTU since the Bush v Gore years and I'm not starting now. I know who I'm voting for and this year, more than ever, there is no chance of me changing my mind.  I'd vote for a bucket of Bert Kreischer's dandruff over Trump.

In fact, when Bad Lip Reading gets to the debate, that's what I'll watch.

Debates are almost never worth watching. Reading the transcripts can be more informative, but anyone with the disposition to find and read a transcript has probably already decided how they plan to vote.

With Trump there's the tiny possibility he pulls a Frost/Nixon and says something so incredibly batshiat that you'd feel bad if you missed it. Or poops himself or something. It could be the cultural touchstone of a generation.

My notes from previous thread:

Trump is a bad debater for 2 reasons:

1) He is easily put on tilt!!
Get under his skin early - Talk about the 200,000 dead because of covid that he did nothing about.Or him bashing the US military.
2) He just repeats the same talking points.
You pretty much know everything Trump is already going to say because he has said them all already at his rallies.

2a) Trump thinks Biden is the caricature he tries to make him to be. Just be ready to not walk into the Trap of being the person that Trump portrays you to be. Like explaining you don't want to take "all guns away" or "defund the police".

And Biden just needs to play to his strong point of SHOWING EMPATHY. People want a president that cares right now.

If you focus on just those 3 things you should be fine!!

There are a host of reasons why the first debate will inevitably be the only debate, with a shart high on the list. Guaranteed to be a shartshow either way, which is why I'm more excited for the VP debate.

Yeah remember they tried that. During the RNC the tried to portray Trump cared about people.

How well did that work? In less than 24 hours Trump was on twitter attacking people.

Biden's empathy card can win him the election. Trump can't do it! He is a sociopath. He thinks people with empathy are "suckers" and a president who cares is what American needs now.

I'll save you all the trouble of watching the debates. Biden will give impassioned and well thought out answers to all of the questions. He'll misspeak once or twice or say something that isn't 100% factual. Republicans are going to go off on how Biden is in a mental decline and is lying. Democrats will hail it as a good performance where he laid out how Trump has failed the country. Trump is going to lie his ass off and toss out word salads while constantly interrupting Biden. Republicans will claim that Trump dominated Biden in the debate and showed just how weak he is while Democrats are going to point out all the lies and insanity. Both sides will claim victory and we'll be right back where we started.

Here is what I would do:

Trump: "Well if you don't look at the Blue states, we are doing well with the Corona virus"

Biden: "When I am elected president I will be president of the ENTIRE country not just they states that elected me!! We should stop pitting our country against each other and come together to solve our problems."

I had seen everything, starting with Clinton years --debates, SOU, other key speeches and pressers. I stopped watching during the Trump era. I'm sure some moronic piece of trash Trumper would say that he triggered me and feel some pride at stiggin it. But I'm not offended by his bigotry or any other woke issue. The man is just a moron incapable of speaking clearly in farking English, which isn't even my first language. His family spent a fortune on private education, at a school with very qualified teachers, and very favorable teacher to student ratio. So his idiocy is not due to lack of access to the proper intellectual stimulation, he just decided to be a moron because book learning was for losers or queers. It should be beneath any person capable of complex thought to listen to a man that is so clearly inferior in every way. The only people that even come close to being more worthless than this stupid ahole are the idiots that voted for him.

Almost anything like that would be watchable on the news (IE: Fark) later. The only thing that I imagine might happen where I'd regret the delay in learning about it would be the assassination of either of the candidates (in which case those five minutes until the greenlight could be really important to the success of the whole "pack and run" process).

How Trump will reply to each one:

The Trump and Biden Records
"Well as you know Chris, my record is one of a record economy, record employment, record corruption, record everything. Wait, I think I misspoke on one. Anyway, the Obama-Biden record was one of a failed everything. It was a failure. Obama couldn't even get elected to another term he did so bad. I allot the remainder of my time for this ad for Goya beans."

The Supreme Court
"Chris, the Supreme Court is a very important court in this country, the highest court, you may even say it's a supreme court. Now the Democrats have said if they win they are going to pack the court, expand it to nine or eleven seats. I would like to state here tonight, that if you elect me I will expand it to 100 seats. We may need to do some remodeling or even get a bigger building, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I allot the remainder of my time to this new song, a collaboration between Kid Rock and Ted Nugent called "We're both from Michigan but we're somehow good ol Southern boys who love the confederate flag"

Covid-19
"Well Chris as I've said before, I give myself an A+ and a 10 out of 10 for my handling the China virus. I shut it down immediately. The only reason we have high numbers is because we're so good at testing. Two million people didn't die s o I'd say I did an excellent job. Now Joe Biden, he didn't do anything about the China virus when he was Vice President. No vaccines left for us. Nothing. I allot the remainder of my time to this ad for My Pillow.com"

The Economy
"Now Chris, this is my greatest accomplishment. I built an economy, one of which the world has never seen. My daughter Ivanka, who is a hot piece of ass, created 15 million jobs, I don't know if you knew that. If it wasn't for her, this economy would have been hit much harder due to the China virus. She will make an excellent President one day. I allot the remainder of my time to show this 15 minute campaign ad for her Presidency, which will be occurring in 2024 by the way. Believe me"

Race and Violence in our Cities
"Chris, the Democrats say we have a race problem in this country. Not true. The blacks love me. I had one, Omarosa, but she left me, Disgruntled employee. I had another one, Herman Cain, China virus got him. Rest in peace. But anyway, the blacks love me. Now as far as the violence in our cities, that is only in Democrat run cities. The Republican run cities are fine. There are never any riots in those places. Look at Republican run cities like Ferguson, Missouri -- you know what, I allot the remainder of my time to the song "Ebony & Ivory" by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, I love the blacks Chris, I love the blacks"

The Integrity of the Election
"Now Chris as you know, the Democrats always go on about Russia Russia Russia, saying Russia is trying to interfere in our elections. I asked my boss -- I mean I asked Putin, and he said he didn't do it. I believe him. I have to or he'll kill me. I shouldn't say anymore. I allot the remainder of my time to this ad featuring a selection of fine Russian products"
