There's the quote from Ladyhawke that springs to mind:

Sir, the truth is, I talk to God all the time, and, no offense, but He never mentioned you.

dionysusaur: Martian_Astronomer: "Whoever is nominated to the Supreme Court will understand the Constitution to be the Supreme Law of the Land; not their judicial interpretation of the Constitution."

This is actually an interesting tell: Inerrantist Christians believe that the Bible has a single, unified message on any topic that is "clear" with proper study, and that therefore they, as people, are not "interpreting" scripture, they're just doing what it says. (They love meaningless platitudes like "let scripture interpret scripture" or "use more clear passages to interpret less clear", while denying that they're taking an active role in deriving specific meanings from the text.)

Apparently they're extending this hermeneutic to the Constitution as well. I don't know if I'd say this is "dumber" than their fear of interpretation as it pertains to the Bible, but it's still really frikkin' dumb.

I always ask which version of the thing.

As well you should.
- Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"  He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too!  What franchise?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too!  Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"  "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Regions Council of 1879 or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over. -

Well, they DID nail his son to a tree when he started saying things that the religious bigshots didn't want to be heard.

If they're gonna put a Decepticon on the court, I'd go for Soundwave. You get free recorded proceeding audio.

Heh, I like the scale of the Primaris, but not a lot else (and their vehicles are mostly f#ckin' awful) - if I'm ever able to afford a 3D printer, I'm going to print Mk. VI beaky heads scaled for Primaris bodies (I'm really surprised that nobody has done that (yet))

Read the comics they are the most wonderfully blasphemous thing you'll ever read. The tv series is meh.
