Thanks for that surprise Pat McCrory bullshait 80% of the way through. Ain't nobody care what that loser has to say about winning at politics. Maybe if I wanted advice on how to get kickbacks, sure. But not winning an election or making voters like you.

Donald Trump is making modest inroads with Latinos. Polls suggest he's pulling slightly more Black support than in 2016.

I guess?

The survey found support among Hispanic voters also grew by 2 percentage points, from 30 percent in the last poll to 32 percent in this most recent survey.

Twenty-four percent of registered black voters in the Aug. 22-25 survey, which included the first two days of the convention, said they approve of the job Trump is doing as president, while 76 percent said they disapprove.

OH BS.

All these polls.  Trump campaign is broke, Trump is behind in the polls.  The Trumpers I know aren't changing sides, I see just as many Trump signs as I did in 2016 (though I do see more Biden signs, I saw approximating zero Hillary signs).

The only way Biden can win is inspiring the nonvoters to get off their kiesters and vote.  And I don't see anyone inspiring the apathetic.

Just wanted to clarify that the uneducatedwhites were the ones that sent him to the White House. When Trump weakens education or childhood nutrition or lets companies dump more shiat in the water supply or appoints Betsy Devos as secretary of education, you know what he is doing and why.

I can only talk about my little slice of the country, but what I'm seeing is every Republican with an IQ above room temperature now self-identifying as an "independent," but you'd have to be out of your mind to think they won't be queueing up to pull every single R lever in sight come November.

andrewagill: In before "Shy Trump voters"

After the past four years, I don't think Trump voters are shy anymore.

If they are shy about anything, I think they are shy about admitting what a disastrous clusterfark he's been, because they can't bring themselves into doing the unthinkable: admitting out loud that the libs were right about Trump. So they'll continue to shout out their support, to own the libs, but I wonder if a number of former Trump supporters are secretly planning to sit this one out.

2020-09-21 4:32:03 PM
Gee, guess it's a good thing for Trump that he doesn't need to depend on the election being fair, honest, or accurate any more.

All they need is enough votes cast to provide plausible coverage for all the various forms of election fraud.

True.

I read somewhere, a month or so ago, that Trump's popularity amongst the African-American community comes mostly from younger men.

I'm not sure why, but Trump seems to tap into disaffected young men of any color, and that many just blindly ignore his racist overtones.

It's less that the campaign is broke and more that all the thieves are grabbing what they can instead of spending it on the campaign.

But that's not all good news: Trump has no intention of winning the election legitimately, or admitting defeat. He's going to leave the White House on his back.

I'm seeing hints of (and hoping for) shy Biden voters.

I know more than a few people (family included) whose whole identity is wrapped up in being some combination anti-liberal, anti-democrat, pro-2A, and pro-Military.

I'm seeing cracks in their resolve.  I want them (and any other such folks here on Fark) to know that it is JUST FINE to be all those things and still be anti-Trump.   There is far less hypocrisy in espousing conservative ideals but voting for the opponent of a President who doesn't actually stand for anything but himself than there is in deluding oneself that such a man actually cares about the same things you do.

So I say to my own Father, and any others who have cause to question Trump's fitness - Make all the noise you want about "the damn liberals".  Stamp your feet, open-carry your guns, and 'Murica hard, but for the love of God and the FSM, when it's just you and your conscience in the voting booth, do the right thing.

The poll appears to have been an online poll based on what I was able to quickly find on Harris polling. Trump isn't going to get anywhere near 25% of the black vote. I will be surprised if he makes it to the teens.
