'No!  Why would you think that?'

'Because you are.'

It's like they took one look at the WTF-ery of Doom Patrol, and KNEW they could do better

I was thinking the same thing. "Awesome, Doom Patrol weirdness, without all the horrible people (the characters)" that is more of a shot at season 2

I am trying really hard not to spoil this for me but I'm having a hard time figuring out what the premise of the show is. Is this some sort of alternate reality? Is Wanda having some sort of mental breakdown because the one person that she wants in the world is gone? Is this just a fun little Side Story and I should really just relax?

I never enjoyed the Wanda's Crazy storylines in the comics.
Think I'll give this a pass.

She seems to be discovering how much of reality she can rewrite.

Still, I wonder how much a Sokovian woman would know about old American TV.

I've found Vision to be as interesting as an old brick, but I don't hate this.

When I was a high school student I was friends with several eastern European exchange students who were quite familiar with American TV shows.

My Ukrainian friend said she never missed a weekly trip to the cinema to see the latest episode of 90210 and was heartbroken to discover that real high school lunch was 24 deafening minutes in a freezing cafeteria instead of the leisurely afternoon picnic on the grounds she had come to expect from watching the serials.

Well, no, it's not perfect (no more Mona, Astra, or Gary, please!!!)
I just meant it's goofy like Doom Patrol (though I don't think Doom Patrol has horrible people, like he said up there (well, maybe some of Janes subs)) but much more light-hearted

The two years that Wanda and Vision spent together as fugitives before Thanos came to town, they took in a lot of Nick at Nite.

They're probably trying to crib off of Legion's test answers more than Doom Patrol.

I mean, either of those things is going to be immediately kneecapped by Disney's whole deal, but it'll probably make more sense if you know what specifically they're uncreatively ripping off.

// DP is about developing empathy for deeply, irredeemably unsympathetic characters, which is something you'd get forced to you knees and shot in the head for even mentioning in hearing range of a Disney executive.

Vision is incredibly boring, and Wanda was boring when she was with him. But once he was out of the picture, she became much cooler and more interesting.

I'll probably check this out, but I'm not excited about those two getting a reunion. Wanda's better as a solo act.

I'm willing to give Astra another chance because I couldn't stand Zari when they first introduced her.  Then she got her own episode in "Here I Go Again" where they let the character and the actress cut loose.  She's now my favorite non-Sarah character.

I think Astra next season needs to be paired up with someone other than Constantine.  I adore Matt Ryan and Constantine, but there's way too much baggage there.  Giving Astra a season-long B/C story with someone like Mick could be great since he's working out the whole fatherhood thing and Astra was deprived of her own childhood.

I also worry next season will be Mick's last.  His character arc is basically at an end...

It is her second breakdown, her first one happened after her brother was killed and she imagined all of the James McAvoy X-men world so her brother could live again and actually be a better actor.

I love Mick's character and I kind of agree about his arc. I am impressed they gave him so much after the first season when Snart died. But you never know, they could give him some new motivation and keep his character going in a new direction.

Also, another guess is it'll probably do a reverse of the whole House of M thing and she'll create mutants instead of getting rid of them*. This may already be a known thing, but I haven't seen it

Whatever happens, it leads directly into Doctor Strange 2, so I suspect he may have a cameo/presence in it at some point. And supposedly it ties into the Loki series as well.

I doubt the MCU would ever accept all the extreme violence, rape and nudity that Lynch would want to include. He's a perfect content provider for Showtime, but his resume just doesn't scream Disney+.

I am well versed in the comics and I agree with this theory. It tracks with Disney redeeming some of Marvel's  most egregious errors. Writing Hank Pym out of the real MCU was masterfully  done.

New Rogue will  depower Captain Marvel and wears her jacket. I want credit in 7 years when we get a blowout on the Golden Gate Bridge (for the Asian market).
