Unless he backs down from the SCOTUS vacancy, he deserves every last bit of rage/fury the universe can muster. May the fleas of a million camels infest his old, shriveled amphibious ball sack.

The most punchable face may soon realize that his life is at stake if he tries to ignore the Biden rule and fast track a religious zealot for SCOTUS.

He's a hypocrite and known scumbag.  His current behavior is not surprising at all.

It's not just "the left."

I know many "concerned moderates" who routinely invoke BSAB who are absolutely pissed the fark off right now.

This is literally how you turn "moderates" in to people who will never vote Republican the rest of their lives.

I hope he's genuinely afraid, but I somehow doubt it.  He'll do his worst and still be allowed in polite society.

Life lesson Mitch, blatant power grabs do tend to upset people.

Maybe try acting like a US Senator and not a gop senator.

I think after most of us got over the shock of RBG passing it dawned on us that the GOPlorables would do this and it would not end well for them.

He's not hiding, he's just imitating Randy Marsh in his basement.

This is been McConnell's dream for decades.  He can screw over the country for years after he croaks, and he can't go out in public because the smile on his face is so big he looks like Jim Carrey in Mask

I think I was about two seconds into the shock when I realized that the GOPlorables would do this.  Still haven't gotten to the "not end well for them" part, because 2020, but I admire your optimism.

I was once what would be called a moderate. My conversion began when I learned of how the GOP plotted to go with 100% opposition to anything Obama favored before Obama even took the oath of office. That soured me on Republicans, but the Dems not forcefully supporting Obama in 2010 didn't make me want to support them either.

The 2016 election removed any pretense of considering anything moderate again. I still think of myself as a realist more than anything else, but I don't see myself ever voting for a Republican again. I will cast a vote for dried dog shiat before I give a vote to the GOP.

Most of us knew it'd happen the minute they offered up the excuse to not hold a hearing for Garland.

And Obama damn well dropped the ball on that too for not calling a press conference in prime time every week to look into the camera and tell America how many days it had been since he made his nomination and that it was solely Mitch McKoopa holding it up.

I gave up on the GOP ever changing for the better when Dubya stole the 2000 election/had it handed to him by SCOTUS, and gave up on the Dem Establishment shortly thereafter between them rolling over for everything Dubya and the neocons wanted in the wake of 9/11 and them  being all "bipartisan" when Obama and the Dems took power in 2008 only to be repeatedly ratfarked by the GOP.

What you and I think of as polite society and what rich f*ckers like Moscow Mitch and other politicians think of as polite society are completely different things.

We'll never be allowed into the country and yacht clubs he goes to, and he'll sneer at us from his limo as we commute between shiatty jobs at companies in his stock portfolio and homes we're making payments on to banks in his stock portfolio.

It's getting on time to politely build some guillotines.

The GOP is already set to lose the Senate. Would it make much difference if the Democrats had 54 seats instead of 51? The balance in the Senate is determined every two years. A young Justice might last 30.

The turtle is a lying, amoral piece of shiat.  republicans still have him as their leader; therefore they have defined themselves as the party of shiat.  They have also defined themselves as the christian party; therefore ALL christians are lying, pieces of shiat.

Perhaps one of them can try to change my mind, but they have to get past the fact that they are all lying pieces of shiat.  It's a very tall, smelly, squishy hill to climb, particularly with me occupying the moral high ground pissing on them.

Yes, I do hold the Mt Everest of high grounds compared to any christian/republican.  Even John Wayne Gacy held the high ground about any of them.

Again, the trick about this is that it doesn't just affect him. Sure his seat might be safe, and over time even that might be in peril, but a whole lot of the Senate is the very opposite of safe. Many of them are perilously close to tipping over the edge and losing, and this happening a month before elections is EXACTLY the kind of catalyst that would cause a loss.

There are a LOT of GOP Senators in unsafe states considering very carefully if they want to jeopardize their entire career for a SCOTUS seat.

You cannot shame that which is shameless.  There are only 2 things Those who object can do.

1) Make it 100% clear to the GOP that if a confirmation vote happens before the election, that 2 seats will be added to the SCOTUS if the Dems flipp the Senate and take the White House, and follow actually through if all that does indeed happen.

2) vote the hypocritical motherfarker*ckers our.

You don't TELL them that you're going to do that, you just overtake the Senate enough where you can and just get it done. You don't want to give conservatives ammunition to stay motivated, whether you outnumber them or not. In this scenario you want to win, you want to overtake everything in Congress, and you want it to HURT... you don't even want the outcome to be close.

GOP Response: go ahead cause we have the talking points and ads ready about how you'll stack the deck and add justices and make DC and PR states and thus make big gubmint bigger and put America more in the hole, then our rich friends will crash the economy and use that to prove what we said came to pass and you're at fault.

Anyone still a "concerned moderate" these days is still going to vote GOP.  The amount of denial and willful ignorance (as in "to ignore") required to still play "both sides" on the GOP means you'll always find an excuse to vote Republican.  The reasons don't matter, the results will still be the same.

The GOP's zeal to replace Ginsburg is going to doom more than 1 GOP incumbent on election day. Ernst is still -3 against Greenfield. But I'll bet it gets to -5 or better before mid October.

Sure, especially after the last 12 years of Republican chicanery with regard to blocking appointments with the filibuster, then canceling the filibuster for Supreme Court Justices, farking over Merrick Garland, and the dubious appointment of infamous drunkard, Brat Kavanaughty.

Is Chuck Schumer the type to cancel the filibuster entirely, stack the Supreme Court with new seats and play hardball, generally? I doubt it. Make Duckworth the Majority Leader. She's out of farks to give.

They can't look at themselves in the mirror because vampires don't cast reflections in mirrors.

Ghoulish is normal behavior for vampires.

Also, since they were invited in, holy water and garlic don't work on them.  Beheading does, hence my insistence on guillotines.
