Yes, that will definitely work this time!

Joe Biden, if elected president, would you support increasing the number of Supreme Court justices, yes or no?

Joe Biden, do you agree or disagree with this statement by the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg?:

"There's nothing in the Constitution that says the president stops being president in his last year."

And, if he can't, I hope Biden wins and has a good memory.

I would be okay with the GOP ramming through their Supreme Court pick if the Dems won the Presidency and took control of both chambers of Congress, and then whatever Biden couldn't sign into legislation, he used an Executive Order.

Oh, and if the Biden could pull it off without backlash, direct the Justice Dept. to investigate Trump and his minions.

It's not just you. We were warning people in the primaries that Joe Biden was wearing rose tinted glasses when it came to his opinions on Republicans and the systems that have failed us during the Trump years. He's naive and like the only person in the room who doesn't see Republicans for the scum of the earth they are. It makes him look weak because it is showing weakness. Joe Biden believes in a Republican Party that existed decades ago, and he's comfortable enough in his life to be able to see these government institutions that have failed us and say, "Oh, hey. It's not all that bad."

Yes, it is, Joe. It's all that bad and worse. The fact you can't see how bad it is makes you look weak when you come out and say shiat like this.

The nation failed to make the corrupt republicans pay for breaking the rule of law during the 2018 election. They need to be removed one and all in 2020. What the senate did to block Obama's nominee was a violation of the fabric of the nation. It won't happen again because the senate is Republican and so is trump. It wouldn't be a good thing even if the senate was democratic. It would be fair, but not good.

I agree, but this is the second time Republicans have acted on a Justice in the final year of an administration.

The first I understood, it was pivotal to Scalia's (rot in hell) seat. That was a violation of oath of office to maintain power. But this grab of a historically liberal seat? You must be kidding.

Seat whoever you want. The path forward is D.C. and Puerto Rican Statehood. Pack the courts and end this farce of pretending Republicans believe in Democracy and deserve a seat at the table, no matter their numbers in welfare States.

This whole replacing RBG is a faux issue stirred up by the media. Today, the Republicans control the White House and the Senate.  Regardless of the outcome of the election on November 3rd, on November 4th the Republicans will control the White House and the Senate.  The Republicans have at least until the end of the year to confirm the person Trump nominates and the Democrats are powerless to stop it. The whole thing about before of after the election is a fake issue because the confirmation is a done deal no matter. Both parties are fooling the public into thinking this is an issue to be decided on November 3rd but it really isn't.  If the Republicans think it suits them to go ahead before the election then they will. I think it would behoove them to wait as their base is fooled into believing the election would matter. Delaying may help those Republican senators that are fighting for their political lives. Meanwhile, the Democrats should simply stress fairness and not talk retaliation as this will only rouse Trump's base. If they want to retaliate should Biden win then fine.  Just don't threaten it now.

This. I've said it several times. This was decided in 2016 when the voters let Trump get into the white house.
A lot of the resulting damage is NOT going to be remediable. At least not in the near future.
Boomers certainly won't see the damage of Trump undone in their remaining lifetimes.
Electing Trump was a colossal, horrible f**k up - one America may not recover from in a few lifetimes.
It's like that cartoon with the elephant and the donkey and the vase.
Breaking shiat that can't be fixed is great politics.

What he needs to do is to say that he'd nominate Merrick Garland. That way when people are considering the PoS that Trump nominates, they'll have a specific alternative to think about. It makes "Vote this right wing nutjob in because the Democrats will nominate a left wing nut job" harder to sell.
