Wolff just paid the price for a bad tee shot. Bogey on the 3rd and it's only a 1 shot lead now

I'm on Team Wolff just because it's his first Open. And I don't much care about the other leaders. Should be a good finish.

Proposal: When the PGA lets fans back in they impose a restriction on fans yelling, to limit the spread of the 'rona. Then 'forget' to remove the rule and we never have to hear "get it in the hole!" again.

What about Horace Rawlins?

Harris English got completely screwed, with a ball in the rough on the first hole that they just couldn't find.

Even without the traditional gallery, I've heard "BABA BOOEY" twice already today.

Sigh. Didn't that dude die a few years ago?

I'm rooting for Wolf.  And against the shambo and his goofy swing and clubs.

Yeah, I'm with you there. And unless they both have major problems like the ones Cheatin' Patrick Reed had yesterday, the title is down to those two.

The guy from Party of Five?

Damn it, Wolff

The final pairing just played the par 5 9th in 6 combined shots. That pretty much secures one of them taking the title

Bryson's going to win this, damnit

Hey, sweet!  My first green (even if it is the Sports tab)!

wakka-wakka

Plenty of time for him to pull a Van de Welde.

6 is not that impressive; I'm sure I could get 8 or 9.

We need him to choke. Wolff doesn't have it in him today.

2020-09-20 4:59:00 PM
I think that kind of killed Wolfe's chances.

2020-09-20 5:00:48 PM
And then Wolff hits a tree

2020-09-20 5:12:19 PM
unless Bryson has a Phil moment or tees off in the wrong direction, I think he's just about got it locked up now.

It's over.

I can't believe this is a USGA setup on Winged Foot.

2020-09-20 5:30:34 PM
Wow, Hideki took a nose-dive today. As many pars as he has bogey+ holes, entering the last.

2020-09-20 5:33:56 PM
Hey wait a minute, what about the guy who won the first US Open wasn't that his first US Open tournament too?

2020-09-20 5:35:24 PM
Just hit the farkin' ball, Bryson.

it wouldn't be the US Open without asinine rules-lawyering

Way to endear yourself to everyone, DoucheAmbeau

I don't miss Johnny Miller on the US Open team telling me about all the ways he would have choked in a particular situation.

Bryson DeChambeau is the American Angel Cabrera.

I just realized that is DoucheBro's first name but that totally tracks.

I could do without the current broadcast team telling us how Bryson is revolutionizing the game.

Miss fairways and play out of position on St. Andrews or Augusta.

But but but he's the greatest scientician ever to play the game!

Bryson moves to #6 in the world rankings. Wolff to #18.

2020-09-20 6:06:45 PM
Alright, that was funny but a dick move, Bryson pretending his parents couldn't get their camera working (and then apparently getting them to flip themselves sideways)

2020-09-20 6:17:28 PM
Oh well, the less I have to hear about Ricky Fowler, Justin Thomas and those tools the better.

For a time Sosa and McGuire revolutionized their game as well.

Announcers slobbering over Bryson's driving but he was actually only 7th in driving distance for the week.

He won because he was top 3 in strokes gained off the tee, approaches, and around the green (18th in putting).
Meaning he won because of a solid all-around game, not because of his driving.

(But he's still a huge Trumper, so f*ck that guy).
