Yeah, I'd like to know what else these people in the study had in common.

FTFA: Study authors emphasize the report was only able to find an association, not a cause-and-effect relationship. Experts say the study doesn't provide sufficient evidence to recommend drinking coffee on a daily basis for people who have cancer.

So I don't think I'll change my coffee habit right now.

Coffee can't bring a dead hooker back to life.

So I'm open to other suggestions...

There are enough health benefits in coffee to promote it anyway, though drinking very hot coffee is linked (unsurprisingly) to higher oesophageal cancer regular coffee consumption (even decaffeinated) is linked to improved liver health.

Keep in mind caffeine makes your plumbing run smoother, which is probably the ONLY reason it possibly benefits people who have colon cancer

As usual, the answer is butt stuff.

Seriously, coffee enemas are a thing that desperate people do to help with liver function.

And that only happens with crapy made coffee where boiling water is dumped on beans. Pour over and French press should use 205 degree water and the several minute brew time helps bring down the temperature more. Espresso is brewed at 195 to 205, and if you're making a latte, that also brings the temp down.

Between my coffee and booze habit, whatever is going on in my body is probably like putting a humidifier and a dehumidifier in the same room.

what if you don't drink coffee but you take a bunch of no-doz everyday so that you're up and awake and constantly aware of your surroundings and everything that's going on and you got to push it so many miles a day just to break even and oh god this is so punishing but what can you do?  my back is killing me and my knees are shot and i tremble all the time and

In England a few centuries back it was recommended for general health.  This might explain why tea became the national hot beverage of choice.

Oddly enough, the wife, who is an ICU nurse, says that occasionally doctors prescribe coffee enema's to help get flowing again.

I wonder what the caffeine effect would be taking coffee up the butt?

Caffeine is absorbed in the small intestine, so I seriously doubt an enema makes it up that far.

OTOH, I don't have a colon, so the caffeine would get far enough up.

Augment with tri-buffered Aspirin; the inescapable physical constraints on velocity of signal propagation needn't create cumulative skeletal-muscular 'exigencies' and aberrations that can only serve to percolate into greater frustration with the limitations of the "factory build".

/dose per dose, Cocaine doesn't "tone" the cardiovascular system with nearly the same "punch"
//acquaintance had access to MSD's .33 gram tabs of Coke, in bottles of 100 tabs (destined to be "dissolved" into solutions soaked up by 2"x2" squares of cotton gauze and jammed far up into one, or both, nares - until the patient's face could be torn off by pit bulls without so much as a yap - "drain all that Staph infection gunk from your R Mastoid sinus - via employment of this stainless chisel and and hammer to punch a hole in your skull...")
Acquaintance crushed a single tab and replaced Afrin, in Afrin bottle, with powdered E.Coca+distilled water - said he would get sympathy from co-workers owing to his "Afrin addiction" (apparently a monkey riding allergy sufferers, for years?).  Anyway, this doc used a squirt from his 'Afrin' when gulping another cup of joe wasn't an option.  He eventually ran out (several years), but had all the little amber glassed empties in a box in his garage

Itself, coffee does not make itself. No matter how much love I show it I still have to make it.

I've made a number of the recipes.  The distaffbopper absolutely *LOVES* the beefsteak pie recipe.  It was her birthday recently and she had me make it for dinner.

Here is the recipe:

1796 Beef Steak Pie - Dutch Oven Baking
Youtube d8hhRbd41rA

Here are the changes I make:

1.  I use a modern oven.  Set it to 300 and cook for 2:30 to 2:45.
2.  I use an eye-round roast, and I cut it up into bit-sized pieces.
3.  I use a mandolin to slice the onion, and I cut the slices into quarters.

I generally use a beer like Labatts, but this last time I borrowed a Miller Lite from a neighbor.   I have made it with water, and it's still good, but a beer gives it a bit nicer flavor.

I also did the cauliflower in a cullis, but I just used beef stock like he does in his video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4sKg8YWFM4

It paired really well with the beefsteak pie.
