If this shiat had to happen I wish it was when I was 20 and full of energy and didn't have my own family to provide for and worry about. I'm too old to act right by acting up.

Good luck kids, we're all counting on you.

Interesting that the lack of GOP 2020 agenda is considered here.

I've been asking for months what is the GOP's platform, and it turns out there's nothing.

On donaldjtrump.com a platform is absent as well.

So why vote for any of them? Looks like they got nothin.

This is the biggest gripe I have.

People with families SHOULD BE the most active and worried about what's happening in 2020, because you have the most to lose.

That's a gripe I've had since people around me started having kids.

Isn't your family the exact reason it SHOULD be you fighting for them, and not some dude without family?

The US is working toward the end-game of "March of the Morons."  trump and all his trump worshipers (AKA republicans) being elected in 2020 will bring forth a silent revolt against the inferior by people who truly what is going on.

trump has created an environment where his worshipers praise graft and corruption.  The superior group has been held back by their morals and that the dream of America is true.  trump and his mitch soviet lovers will have shown everyone that America is dead; therefore it is legal to f*ck over every moron in the US - AKA trump voters.

Why work toward a better America if trump and all his christian worshipers have destroyed it?  THey certainly aren't Americans, so they are all fair game.

Down bad.  Substantial decrease started in 08.  dx/dy appears to be less negative in 2017-2019 than from 2008 to 2016.  Hard to quantify 2 years vs 8 but that is the trend i am seeing.   Need a better labeled time axis.

Down bad and it got down faster at the end. That seems pretty clear to me.

It's a terrible dilemma for parents, because they also have to think about feeding and housing and providing medical care for their children now. It's hard for most people to take 6 months off to be full-time protesters and organizers. And it's even harder when you're responsible for other people besides yourself.

A "democracy" is not a state, it is a process. You need to maintain it, and if you don't it inevitably "slides" into something that isn't.

I'm ok with the criticism, because obviously I feel guilty - but I'm active, I donate, I speak out. I'm just not willing to risk my physical safety or criminal charges, which I'm afraid is what this is going to take. When my kid is much older I hope we'll be going to demonstrations together , but I'm not bringing him to something intense like that when he's not old enough to understand what's happening.

People do what they need to do. Don't let anyone make you feel guilty for prioritizing your family.

Physical protests are useful but so is $5 in the donation cup.

Their platform is the cult of Donald Trump. And the cultists will vote for him. In a democracy, that wouldn't be a problem, because the Trumpers are a minority of the country. But the US isn't a democracy, and it's very easy for a minority to control things.

I think the entirety of their appeal is they are against liberals. In that graph it mentions 'liberal democracy' so they would say they are doing good if they are preventing it from being achieved. And unfortunately their voters agree.

There is a reasons superheroes are generally unmarried and childless (or become that way). The army also prefers to recruit young singles.

People with families priority is to protect familis, their own. High minded ideals dont put food on tables. Those adults ignore their own dreams and most everything else if they have to to accomplish that.

There is a break point however.

When married, child having folks feel that they MUST get involved for the sake of those same families basic security, its gonna be a bad scene. Only questions if that happens is, will it be too late?
