Idiots don't even know their own franchise.

Carry would make a good Riddler, but a lousy Joker.

I think Carrey's run as Riddler is long past done.

I could see it. With the proper writing and direction, he's got the chops. His Joker might actually be a match for the newly formed Justice League.

They realize it would be sooo easy to have Alan Tudyk as a live action Joker, right?

Jim Carrey was already in the greatest Batman movie of all time.

DC doesn't seem to understand cinematic universes, at all. They pump out Justice League before establishing all the characters, give us barely any background on the new guys, then extensive delays on shooting Cyborg and Flash's origin stories. We got plenty of this, instead.

Those of you who actually follow the comics -- is this whole idea of Proto-Jokers something canon, or was it started by the Gotham series?  Because, man, it is really going to get old if they just keep making one character after another that is-but-isn't the Joker.  :P

I'm not certain about the second point.  It's possible, Carrey does have the chops to make a good Joker.  But damn Robin Williams could have made an excellent Riddler if the script were right.  Not sure it would have really mattered if everything else about that movie were the same though.

Well, you see,... your mom had braces.  And we were going to see The Grateful Dead.   She was giving me road head, and I had to stop quick. Some dumbass kid ran out into the road.  You're damn lucky to be here, son.

He's the answer to a surprising number of "who could play that role" questions.

But last I heard he was set to play an older Bruce Wayne in the planned Flash movie.

/ there's agruments to be made about who the best Batman was, but he was hands down the best Bruce Wayne

It really doesn't seem like the Joker is the sort of person to live to a ripe old age.

Keaton was the only one to portray Bruce Wayne as basically crazy.  Kilmer and Clooney just played the rich playboy completely straight, while Bale played Wayne as intentionally being an asshole as an act.  Keaton made you believe the guy had mental issues and would be the sort of guy to dress up as a bat.

This, this, this, this.

The fact that Far keeps giving this site traffic is really irritating. The Babylon Bee has more real news credibility than WGTC.

Why can't we have a dark take on Mad Hatter for a movie so it's not the same villains.  Gotham got close.  But a serial rapist/murderer stalking Gotham looking for his perfect Alice using mesmirism to cause mayhem to keep Batman busy could be a dark movie especially if they set up one of the girls killed as someone special to either Bruce or one of his business partners.

Why dark  anything?  Give us some Silver Age silliness for a non-animated movie. Have some ridiculous villain like Kite Man, Condiment King, King Tut, or Egghead. Let Batman be fun again.

We had that movie. It was called Batman and Robin.

I don't remember saying I wanted a movie about Egghead or Kite Man or any other zany villain.  I believe in my producer fantasy, I asked for Mad Hatter and to do him right in a way to make money, you would have to do it so dark people would think Law and Order SVU was a Nick at Night sitcom series.
