This is why they have to get their new puppet Justice installed before the election. The John Roberts can dissent and the election still goes to Trump. It'll be all done by October.

They won't have reason to even try and hide the election fraud after that.

Well, if no one receives a majority of the electoral college votes, so if states don't get their electors slated through all the court challenges, you could still see the House involved.

Each state gets one vote in the house. It's not one vote per rep.

Right now, republicans are up 26-23-1.

Do you have any idea about the logistics of doing such a thing?  Unless someone has already got 3/4 of the military base commanders on our side then it will be futile. We no longer live in an age where information takes time, it is instant, so if the revolution is not instant then it will fail.

Imagine if California rebelled and it is total, do you think the rest of the US will just let that happen?  No the poor buggers will be destroyed.  Think about it, it would have to be almost all states rebelling at the same time, and yet there has not even been a general strike over the administrations handling of Covid-19.  If you can no longer manage a general strike, then you have no chance of managing a revolution.

But you can vote on Nov 3rd, vote Biden/Harris 2020.

Yup. People are imaging Roberts would somehow become this semi-liberal judge. It's not realistic. He hates voting rights, no reason not to believe he'd give the victory to Trump.

You may want to read the constitution:

From the 12th Amendment:

"The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice."

So if it goes to the house, there are more red states (since it is important that land gets to vote apparently), each state gets a vote, Trump wins.

It's general strike time, but there is no will for that as far as I can tell.

He's just the point man.  Get rid of him and someone else will take his place to enact the same party agenda.  You don't really think McConnell has been coming up with all his shenanigans by himself, do you?  The Republican Party itself needs to be crushed.  Not that it will be, but that's what has to happen for anything to meaningfully change.

Laws are essentially gentleman's agreements when it comes to laws regarding power at that level. As we've seen Trump has already disregarded rulings/laws that have gone against him. With most branches of military leaning right, and law enforcement that's riddled with white supremacists it gets tricky difficult to have any enforcement of the laws if a President decides to just say "Nope, don't care." Because if the institutions are behind him, who removes him?

I should clarify, that I do believe they need to be codified and written into law. But I also realize that if a right wing, authoritarian President doesn't want to abide by the laws it's difficult to enforce them.

I don't think you've learned anything during the Trump administration. Laws are meaningless when the DOJ is your personal law firm.
We need new laws and an independent department that can enforce laws pertaining to elected federal officials. Of course, that can be corrupted as well so I really don't know what the answer is.

Before that happens, if any individual state can't get a certified final result, I understand that their own state constitution or legislation will have a process for deciding. In most cases, I believe they kick it to their own legislature. So before the US house decides an election, we'd probably end up with FL or AZ legislature doing it, if their state has the electoral votes to decide and was being contested and a deadline needs to be met.

Yeah but they referred to it as: libs lose because all they care about is winning the presidency with the ideal candidate, while ignoring/not caring that the opposition party is packing the lower courts.

Hell, libs don't even pay attention when their entire state legislatures are being filled with Republicans, because who cares about local politics? Certainly not libby libs. Presidency is all that matters. Well, it matters to blame Republicans for their woes rather than Jill Stein voters or the Democrats who stayed home because Hillary wasn't inspiring enough for them.

Trump has appointed 53 of the 179 active circuit court judges. It's too many, of course, but not enough to control the outcome of a given case.
