A party that only appeals to poorly-educated whites in the poorest parts of white America has no future on the federal level.

After 2008 the GOP came across an alarming realization: Minorities were a sufficiently large enough voting bloc to influence and win elections for the Democrats.

So the Republicans faced a tough decision: In order to win future elections, they would either have to A) Modify their platform to appeal to minorities and secure their votes, or B) Harden their platform for whites-only and actively prevent current minorities from voting and future minorities from entering the country.

We know what option they chose.

The GOP actually chose to begin a stronger push towards minorities, then Trump came in with his white nationalist agenda and they all went with it because it gave them a path to power they didn't think they had. You have some actual white power freaks like Miller influencing policy, but Trump and many Republicans in Congress don't actually have core beliefs or values. That's why they're so disgusting.

Biden keeping it close has coattails.  He's hired a few more people in these parts and I see his ads on TV.  I think his main focus should be on PA,MI, WI, AZ, FL, and NC, but if he has the resources, a little attention to TX is good.

More Trump humpers retiring here, blue voters either staying home or GTFO, Hispanic population being duped into thinking the GOP will represent them, and ratfarkery by every elected GOP official.
The GOP knows that electoral votes will never come from California and New York. Texas and Florida are two must wins. You pull either leg off that chair, and they are done putting candidates in the White House.

Trumpy suddenly remember that PR got hit by a hurricane 3 years ago and could use some Federal aid, so he's worried about something.

With Ginsburg gone, even if Trump can't replace her in the next couple of weeks, it's still going to be a heavily right-wing Court that will hear all the lawsuits surrounding the election. If Biden manages to take office despite GOP attempts to steal everything in sight, and if the Democrats also take the Senate, then two things need to happen: (1) Expand the Court by six new Justices, and (2) declare the Republican Party a clear and present danger to the Constitution and outlaw it as a terrorist conspiracy.

What state doesn't have them?  California?  Wrong (Darrel Issa, anyone?).  New York?  Rochester has pickup trucks with #resist bumper stickers... but don't expect same in Greece.  Maryland gets scary just west of Fredrick (as in you start to see those lawn jockey statues) and can be even worse on the Eastern Shore (governor Schafer once called it a shiathouse).  I'm pretty sure that you'll find some pretty strange things in Western Mass, and Boston itself is no stranger to racism (although I don't think it is politically powerful).

NoVa is fine.  I almost moved to Fredericksburg.  But if you want a place without derp I'd suggest New Zealand, cause every state has derpers and concentrations of derpers.
