This headline reminds me of a stray thought from last week:  is it too late to start referring to this show as Better Call Sol?

swahnhennessy: I've only seen the first four episodes, and I like it well enough so far. But I was kinda hoping that it would be a self-contained season, in that it comprised the entire series. I have more faith in TV being quality when it knows its story from beginning to end going in. Which isn't to say that more seasons will automatically make a thing suck, just that the chances for it dragging and/or slipping increase greatly.

In this case in particular, they can only do the Mother thing so long before it gets silly.

I hear she evolves . . .

JerkStore: I'm five episodes in and I'm intrigued, but it can shift into second gear any time now..

Wait until someone gets crushed by a rolling spaceship. Then you'll want reverse, too.

There's a lot to like, but the longer it goes on, the more ridiculous it's getting. Now I'm just waiting for Tim Curry to show up calling the girls "Poppet".

It seems to be doing better than I expected, given it appears that Ridley Scott was given a free run to do what he wanted and you know that's going to be all kinds of "odd".
