Well, yeah. But it was only within the last couple of weeks that Joe Biden said something that wasn't entirely true if you took a certain view of a certain element of what could have possibly been a type of relevant context into consideration, so to say that both sides don't use lies and misstatements to advance their cause is totally partisan and just shows that you're blind to the fact that both sides are bad.

If you had four Pinocchios for every lie he told, you could plant a new rainforest.

Years ago it used to be referred to as "spin".

With this administration, it's "policy".

Both Pepsi and Raw Sewage are both bad, so I guess it doesn't matter which I order with my meal.

Did Trump open his mouth?
Then he lied.

I would suggest the Pepsi.   It at least has a better taste.

So they'll do one article on Trump's 30 lies in one sitting, then do another article about how Biden was off by 1% when reporting a statistic, and both sides are the same.

They really need to do one of these things with someone sitting next to these politicians.  Someone knowledgeable about these topics, maybe who pays attention to the news and politics, writes these things down and documents them in something like oh I don't know a journal or notebook.  This person could then be tasked to interject here and there when the politician is obviously lying to inform the viewers and ask follow-up questions about the lies.  That way these town halls aren't just merely commercials and megaphones for politicians to spread obvious lies.  We could call this person a "notebook-ist" or something.

Anyway, what the f*ck is that short guy doing there.  I feel like I recognize him.

Oh right.  He's that really short pretty guy who just sat there and nodded when Giuliani said there were no terror attacks under George W Bush.

and on this point why does anybody believe the Woodward tapes?

Trump talked therefore he lied.  Problem with lying to both extremes, one might end off being true by sheer chance.

He also lies when he tweets. Although it may be a good wager that his lips move while he types.

See, I think it's all about how the "fact-checkers" see their own work.

The effort it takes to compile the Braying Jackass's many, many lies = the effort it takes to twist the objective criteria of "truth" against Biden, ergo if the fact-checkers do both, they've done their jobs to prove that both sides are equally bad.

We saw in Trump's devastating interview with Axios's Jonathan Swan that Trump short-circuits whenever confronted with a new piece of information outside his limited frame of reference.

After Trump appeared at the ABC News forum, which featured Pennsylvania voters questioning Trump, Fox News's Laura Ingraham pronounced the affair an "ambush" that could have been staged by the Democratic National Committee. The Fox chyron read:

ABC SPRINGS AMBUSH ON PRES TRUMP AT TOWN HALL

This response, and the town hall itself, capture a larger truth about the moment. When Trump is not permitted to freely dissemble with abandon or coddled by an interviewer who treats his magnificence as a foundational premise - as he so often is on Fox - he is actually very bad at answering difficult questions about his performance.
