I was watching a replay of yesterday's stage and I thought he had checked out already. He might be hurt, I don't know; but he was clearly no longer interested in defending his title.

So it goes. The cracks in Ineos, and Jumbo-Visma & Pogacar's strength, were evident in the Dauphiné. One could see it coming.
