Wow. They said the quiet part out loud.

Power and money matter a lot more to the GOP than someone's life.  They keep telling us this, and I believe them.

It is good republicans finally announced the trump health care plan.

Are you listening, Democrats? Do you even care?

We need a party that represents the people.

2020-09-09 11:45:36 AM
You certainly can't argue with that sort of logic.

I don't think I can afford government...

The democrats gave us the affordable care act, which is a start.

The GOP is trying to take even that away.

You can shove your BSAB up yer arse.

Scumbags. Indecent, dishonest, terrible excuses for human beings.

The world would be a far better place without their gene line.

Get sick?  Too bad,  you die.

LOL  Yeah, staffer, you are an evil person.  I wish we knew the staffer's name.  I hope Tillis loses his seat.  Badly.

You know, I'd feel a lot more sorry for Americans and our shiatty health care system if we didn't have so many morons enabling the party that wants to make it even worse.

2020-09-09 2:23:11 PM
I can't afford this government, so I'm just not going to buy it...

There's no medicinal Goodwill for buying unwanted cancer treatments.

That cancer patient should have thought about whether they could afford healthcare before they got cancer, obviously.

And even the ACA sparked a veritable Second Red Scare among our idiot populace. But yeah, let's demonize the Dems for thinking that full-blown socialized health care wouldn't be popular with Americans.

2020-09-09 2:28:53 PM
This is what conservatives actually believe.

They are authoritarians, who wish to be ruled - not governed. And they believe in a "natural order" to the universe which means that as long as someone is wealthy (and not a Democrat or someone else they hate) they're supposed to be, and deserve to be part of the ruling class, just by virtue of having the wealth whether it was earned or not.

2020-09-09 2:29:05 PM
When I have conversations about this with my right-leaning family members I'm just going to tell them that Republicans need to remove the stipulation that e-rooms take care of everyone who is dropped off.  Then they set up free "Hospitals" that are really just old empty warehouses with no doctors or equipment on the outskirts of towns.  They can allocate money to pay for a single person to handle patients and a small team that organizes the patients in the warehouse and hauls away the ones who die with a large panel truck.

Any of them who think this is a good idea, and there *will* be a few, will be told to hope they get rich or outlive medical inflation otherwise they will be in the warehouse eventually.  Any of them who think this is appalling will be told that they are essentially supporting the "warehouse method" as long as they continue to support "ACA bad!" and the like.

This is why I keep coming back to Fark.  Nadie_AZ, clearly a Democratic voter, suggests that the Democratic Party do more to represent regular Americans. It's a harmless comment meant to make the party better. I think it's safe to say this country could do more for healthcare.
Nadie is immediately met with senseless ridicule, and the ridicule is inexplicably smarted over 20 times.  Just lovely.

Huh?  The DEMOCRATS watered it down.. and not a single Republican in either house voted for it.

I hate god damn American republicans so much. I hate them for making me feel so much hate. I used to be a much nicer person than I am now.

I used to be able to just remind myself that I'm not even an American so why am I getting all frenzied? I'd think that, relax, and laugh off whatever new obscenity had set me off. Now even reminding myself that I am a Canadian doesn't dilute the hatred I feel for this garbage. Please purge them before I start torturing small animals.

Bovine Diarrhea Virus: to represent regular Americans

Nadie makes vague reference to a party that "represents the people", and you say "regular Americans" like you're talking about a specific set of people? The Dems aren't in control of the presidency or senate right now, and dumbing an incredibly complicated issue like healthcare down to "just do it", ignores the incestuous sausage factory required to pass even simple laws. Could more be done? Yes, more can almost always be done, but Sanders isn't a wizard. He can't wish shiat into existence.

Nadie enjoys calling everybody who didn't vote for Sanders in the primary "centerists", and is mostly just mad that Sanders isn't the candidate, so don't pretend that there's not a whole lot of baggage behind the comments. That's why the claws come out. A lot of us are tired of that shiat, and understand that we have a candidate and a direction, and we can piss and moan about how it could be better, or we can actually get shiat done.

I guess this 13 year old autistic boy, who was shot by police after his mother called them to help de-escalate one of his episodes, better get bootstrapin'. His mother is now on the hook for 100k in medical bills and has resorted to putting up a Gofundme page.

We've known for a long time that this is exactly who republicans and some democrats were. keep voting for a government that works it's ass off for a few people while leaving the rest to fend for themselves then that's what you'll get.

2020-09-09 2:46:12 PM
Why does this surprise anybody? We have known for decades that this is how Republicans leadership feel about healthcare. They have not even tried to hide it, hell, they said this very thing publicly many times, and have their supporters agreeing with it.

I bet that loser cancer survivor can't afford a death panel, either.

Equating fitting a dress shirt in the budget to paying for cancer treatment is one of the most asinine things I will ever hear of in my entire lifetime.  The sad truth here is that this staffer might have actually been able to help this person if they had one shred of empathy.  The oncology center Mrs tontine goes to has bent over backwards to find programs we qualify for to help us defray the cost of her treatment.

That the Dems don't sufficiently represent the people which you then gave an example of before the condescending snark demonstrating you didn't even understand what you read in the first place. But you were saying?

Objection, assumes facts not in evidence. My guess is a green or vermin supreme voter, which should be met with ridicule.

At best, it's a "I'm going to vote for Biden, but first I'm going to spend months online outlining the reasons that people shouldn't vote for him" voter.
