Practice runs more like. Either that or the rotten food was just getting to be too much to take at the Post Office.

/ Be nice if we can re-route all that rotten food to DeJoy.

Sometimes rogue mail carriers get caught stealing or dumping mail they are supposed to deliver. We've seen stories on Fark occasionally over the years.

But this one sounds different. Apart from the highly suspicious timing, there's a freakin' rental truck involved. Is it some kind of stolen mail operation? DeJoy shenanigans?

Will USPS share the outcome of their investigation, and can we even trust USPS to tell the truth at this point? I hate that it's even a reasonable question to ask...

Was this some of the unsightly mail that's been piling up at various post offices due to DeJoy's non-interference?

Jirafa: Sometimes rogue mail carriers get caught stealing or dumping mail they are supposed to deliver. We've seen stories on Fark occasionally over the years.

Occam's Razor suggests this is the answer.

For most of my life, if you told me that the answer was in fact that this was an offshoot of a widespread attempt by the president and his administration to undermine faith in the USPS and in the entirety of the US electoral system, I'd mock you for being a tin foil hat wearing loony.

Yet, it's 2020 and here we are.

Please use Reynolds Wrap to make my hat.  I don't want any of that store-brand shiat.

These people actually believe it's okay because they were probably illegal fake ballots, and even if they weren't they were blah people votes and therefore shouldn't count as much as real Americans.

The depths of the rabbit hole are a scary place indeed.

I remember hearing this happen a lot in the larger populations during the 80-90s, starting while the USPS was being decimated by Reaganomics. In large cities, already overworked postal workers were given larger and larger routes, expected to deliver huge amounts (mostly junk mail) daily.

Driven by the overwhelming obsession with not being homeless, in order to remain employed, some postal workers would hide or dump undelivered mail on days when delivery could not be completed.

Given this new emasculation of what has always been one of the most reliable services in this country, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the same phenomena.

The last few weeks my mail pickup and deliveries have been really weird.  Damaged letters, missed package pickups, and even emails telling me they missed the pickup when they actually picked up.

All part of Trump's game of 5D chess.

Well, considering the packages in the video were bagged up in USPS plastic bags, it's a safe bet that they came directly from a post office facility, which means that whoever did it was either a postal employee or was given them by a postal employee.

Any other cameras get the license plate? Any of the local USPS have expenses for a Budget truck recently? Who's on the rental agreement? Would be pretty easy to follow the paper trail.

Put the guys picture all over the news and social media, someone is bound to recognize him

I don't know how it works at a USPS facility but where I work small packages and envelopes are typically unloaded from the trailers contained in clear plastic bags of "smalls". The bags are opened and the packages scanned and sorted to the correct route. It would be interesting to know if it was actually all one route or if it was many. If it's the former, then it's a driver. If it's the latter, then it's a USPS station employee, probably a manager overwhelmed by the overflow and hoping to take the hit for missing packages in order to catch up.

Couple of things, all USPS related.

1) Robert Duncan -  Robert Duncan, the chairman of the U.S. Postal Service's Board of Governors, is the Director of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) $130M super PAC, the Senate Leadership Fund.

Robert Duncan is also from Kentucky. Duncan also runs a second conservative PAC Fund.

2) Steven Mnuchin was trying desperately to bring the USPS under the Treasury Dept. this spring. He couldn't, so so he conspired with Robert Duncan, Chair and John M. Barger to select DeJoy this spring.

3) Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has blocked the House Bill funding the USPS $25 billion dollars from debate on the Senate floor for past 110 days.

4) When Don Sr. and Don Jr. were interviewed this week, both pointed to the election balloting as a prime example of the election being chaos. Fact is, DeJoy is choking it on the inside and McConnell is starving it of funds on the outside.

5) Duncan is currently refusing to reveal the selection process, calling it confidential.

6) Last, who wrote the 'Equipment Reduction' memorandum issued May 15th, Louis DeJoy was not sworn in until June 15th, and both Duncan or DeJoy refused answer under oath in August in the House.

Don't feel bad, USPS took a certified mail envelope on 7/15, moved it 100 miles, and the last update is 7/25 when it was "still on route to it's final destination".
Meanwhile, the taxes were processed, a refund check issued, delivered and already cashed. I just checked again today for the amusement factor, and yep... "still on route to it's final destination".
THE WHOLE POINT TO CERTIFIED MAIL IS TRACKING AND DELIVERY NOTIFICATION!

Ehem, sorry.
I'm not sure that it is directly the USPS' fault, but they certainly dropped the ball on that one.
These trump assholes have seriously farked over the post office; I can only hope it is salvageable when the farkwits are gone.

The UN is a diplomatic organization, and even if they did send a strongly-worded letter it would end up buried in a pile of other mail in an Arby's parking lot. No other Western nations are going to sign up for "peacekeeping" duty vs. the US military (although Putin might be willing to send a few squads of his guys over to help out). You guys are on your own for this one.
