After the last two World Cups, that's probably about right.

yes, they can be paid the same if the men's and women's negotiate their contracts to pay them the same.

They can also negotiate to have the same benefits for the two teams as well.

but beating the inaccurate implication horse to death doesn't make for page clicks.

They deserve a raise after the 2014 semi-final.

They deserved an Oscar for Best Comedy.

Actually subby, according to the USWNSTPA, not you can't.  Because when the USSF attempted to give them the same contract and pay as the men's team, they refused, demanded a different deal, and then proceeded to sue them over it a few years later when they realized they had left money on the table as a result.

This. Their entire lawsuits stems from their own decision making during contract negotiations.

The men will always make more, because men's tournaments are longer, bigger and have much larger bonuses tied to them.

There is a way to make base salaries equitable, however. Making them the exact same ignored that one team may generate more ticket or TV revenue, or sell more merchandise; making them more valuable for the brand than the other.
