If Texas is such an amazing place for hockey, how come there is only ONE NHL team there when there are like 4 in Florida and 8 in California?

El Paso has a very popular locally, and very successful development-wise, junior hockey team that's moving from a pay-to-play league to one of the top free-to-pay leagues in North America.  Some of that team's alumni have moved onto NCAA D1, and a few even made it to pros in Europe and the ECHL.

It's that team's arena that's getting upgraded,

I'm glad that their rink is getting an upgrade but I was very surprised when I saw the headline.

I was surprised too, but it's nice to hear.

I miss Buzzards games. Those were so much fun.
