This is why Scooby-Doo had to be created, to teach people when they are young that there is no such thing as monsters, animated mummies or skeletons, ghosts, zombies, etc. and anyone trying to convince you otherwise is trying to get something out of you (usually money).

I have it on good authority that criminals are a "superstitious and cowardly lot".

We should therefore have one of these things in every interrogation room.
