Whereas in America spy chiefs retire on full pensions, hit the chat show circuit

No kidding.  I see Brennan all over cable news getting treated like an expert when he should be getting treated like a prisoner.

What the hell, Denmark? You're supposed to do it the American way, where you let the abuses of power metastasize for as long as it's a political plus for your tribe. Soon as it's not, you put on your serious faces and roll out THIS IS AN OUTRAGE while quietly taking notes on how convenient the other tribe's abuse of power will be when the reins are in your tribe's hands.

But no, the Danes have to go and insist on ethical behavior from the get-go. No. Fun. At all.

There's two types of people I can't stand in this life.  Those that are intolerant of other cultures and the Dutch!

Getting invaded and occupied by Nazis gives a certain perspective. One would hope the US doesn't have to experience the same to reach the right conclusions but here we are....

The Danish government announced that head of the Forsvarets Efterretningstjeneste (FE) service, Lars Findsen, as well as two senior officials that focused on military intelligence - and who were not named - had been "relieved of duty for the time being."

That is Dan Brown level writing.  "Lars Findsen is the chief spy in Holland".  2020 is so lame jesus.

Well since Fark has assured me Snowden is a traitor for revealing the warrantless wiretapping I'm sure they'll be consistent in condemning the whistleblower in this case too and argue that the spying was right, proper, and good for Denmark.

Snowden isn't a whistleblower.
