These people have no idea how to keep their word... that doesn;t even sound like a resignation. Just "I'm leaving the door open. If Trump wins again, I'll be romping naked through the quad with sweaty, naked pool boys."

I was wondering why people said he was resigning now. I thought he resigned weeks ago.

"My calling was to use my legal and business expertise to make Liberty University the evangelical version of Note Dame," Falwell said. "Some of us are called to be preachers, that wasn't mine."

His new career goal: Mop boy at the XXX-Treme Entertainment Parlor

Well, he certainly did that... only it wasn't the university Notre Dame, it was the "the whole thing is on fire and collapsing" Notre Dame.

Some much cuck-projecting from the evangelicals

Wonder if he had to get permission from his wife or from the pool boy to resign?

The last little "I resign, I didn't resign, oh, yeah. I guess I did resign" is the kinda thing a cuckhold and his master might enjoy watching him as he humiliated himself just a little more.

Watching someone have sex with his wife last night must have been a real turn on for him after all that public degradation.

1. Choose to follow a self-righteous, greedy bastard as your spiritual and intellectual leader.
2. Have him poison your ideas and the ideas of your college-age kids.
3. Get incontrovertible evidence that leader is a bastard without any care for other people other than himself and maybe his family.
4. Remove leader and pretend it never happened.
5. Goto 1

6. Learn from previous mistakes.
7. Profit!!!!

Part of the program is never reached, friends.  It's in its millionth execution.

From Falwell's page on Liberty's website:

"With so much at stake in the world and in the lives of the tens of thousands of students who will graduate from Liberty's programs, Falwell knows that a key part of leadership is cultivating a culture where students aim to become the right kind of people."

// the right kind of people = the kind who will have an affair, lie about the affair (remember when he denied everything when this first came out?), post a picture violating his organization's holiness rules (and lie about what was in his glass), lie about resigning his position over those "failings", and tell lie after face-saving lie about his "transgression" and why he's resigning
// oh, also the kind who could be blackmailed into supporting Trump (if Michael Cohen can be believed)

The students and faculty of Liberty U are not pastors, but still they are expected to conform to a very rigid moral code, and they suffer the consequences if they deviate and are caught.

To be fair I would bang his wife.

But I would prefer the Feds investigate why Donald Trump gave his "online" aviation school a contract to supply government planes fuel.

"My calling was to use my legal and business expertise to make Liberty University the evangelical version of Note Dame. Some of us are called to be preachers, that wasn't mine."
- Jerry Falwell Jr., ABC News interview

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."
- Jesus of Nazareth, Matthew 6:24

He never had his dad's gift with sermonizing.

He just used his dad's political connections to pretend to be a spiritual authority.

Nah, it's pool boys and maybe some guest spots on AM radio.

This. Some Liberty U. freshman gets caught with his girlfriend in a dorm room, and it's probation at least or expulsion at worst.

2020-08-25 8:55:37 AM
So Jerry Falwell Jr. was apparently pre-ordained (heh) to endorse Ted Cruz during the last presidential campaign but word started getting out about some photos and the pool boy. Michael Cohen stepped in and 'fixed' it. Falwell endorsed Trump, effectively bringing the evangelical vote for a thrice-married serial adulterer/misogynist/alleged sexual abuser.

Donald Trump had Jerry bought and paid for.

It's also funny that now he's playing the Charles Barkley "I never said I was a role model card."

Especially since the only reason most people know his or his father's name is because they spent the last 40 years butting into everybody else's private life.

Although it is not unusual for students to meet their spouses while in college, what separates Liberty from other secular universities is the extent to which the college encourages students to seek their mates on campus.
Liberty's student care office provides premarital counseling to hundreds of students each semester. The school regularly pairs male and female dorms for get-acquainted activities. Speakers frequently talk about marriage in front of thousands of students required to attend convocation services.
"I tell parents that it's a great place for your son or daughter to find (their spouse)," said Liberty Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. "I use that as a recruiting tool. It's a great place to find a mate."
His views on marriage come straight from the Bible, and that's what the school aims to teach students, too.
"Our faculty and campus pastors, they try to instill those values in all of the students. We try to teach the students that the ideal is to not have premarital sex and to be faithful to your spouse throughout your entire life, and that your life will be a whole lot less complicated."
Liberty now has a second generation of students whose parents met on campus decades ago.

"I meet kids almost every day whose parents met here," Falwell said.

He attended Liberty in the early '80s and met his spouse-to-be Becki when he was 18 and she was 13. They started dating when she was 18 and a freshman in Liberty's school of business, then married when she was 20 and Falwell was 25.

"Looking back, I wish I had gotten married earlier to Becki," Falwell said. "I tell students I talk to, 'don't be afraid to get married.' I think kids should get married younger than they are."

/This story is Moore twisted than I expected.

This might be a crazy thought, but maybe rigging the rules to where people get married very young just because they're horny doesn't lead to healthy marriages.

About 30 classmates I graduated high school with got married by the time they were 22. By the 10-year reunion, all but around 5 had one divorce under their belt.

Mix a little bit of Notre Dame and a little bit of USC, you get the Liberty University Fightin' Cucks.

Or maybe GameIrish?

I have a Trump-humping relative and one of his kids went to Liberty on a full ride athletic scholarship, (no shame in that, she was really good)  and the other one worked there for a while, and it married to someone in the Athletic dept. (staying deliberately vague)  and I would dearly love to see my relative's face this morning.   I also know that his kid that worked there became considerably less "devout" during his time there and I wonder if he caught a glimpse of how the sausages were made....
