Image suckered me once with $4.00 triple foil gold plated variant cover on a comic with less content than a normal comic.

Back in the 90s, Image seemed invincible. Pedigreed creators all serving up mildly disguised versions of their Marvel highlights? Variant covers and heavily sexualized content? Those were some wild cats. If I'm being gen, 13 year olds were their obvious target market, and Image reigned supreme in many a teen's collection.

Now it seems like those properties are all walking dead.
