I'm pretty sure the House has to approve any sale over $200 million to any non-NATO ally. That ought to be good for a couple weeks of drama.

I was always under the impression that we didn't sell our "best" (I do use that loosely with the F35) military hardware, at all, and only allowed previous generations to be sold? I guess that is just... not true at all?

I still know people at Wright-Patterson AFB, where the nuts and bolts of foreign sales stuff is done - logistics, training, translations, local parts manufacturers, etc.  Wonder what they've been up to this week...

I'm Crazy Jarad and I'm practically giving away these F-35s. See this F-35A the Pentagon wants $78 million for it but if you cash in just 100 Trump loyalty points1 it's yours for the low low price of $65 million.

1 - each night stay in a Tump brand hotel is worth one loyalty point, three for the presidential suite. Join one of Trump's ultra-premium golf clubs and get 10 points for joining and 10 for each year of paid membership.

Gargash added that discussions about the F-35 are not connected to the deal with Israel.

He's correct.  It's not written into the deal with Israel.  Similarly, the fact that you bought a car from your brother-in-laws dealership was not written into the bill of sale.

That wouldn't work in this case. I bet the UAE very rarely flies them, if they get them. They just want to say they have them and make their neighbors think 5hat their air forces are inferior.

Jared is one of the most dangerous people in the world. He's the living embodiment of Dunning-Kruger Syndrome. From all that I've read, all the unearned self-confidence we think he has is completely real, and we might even be underestimating it. He thinks he can do everything and should be in charge of everything, and the President of the United States is giving him the green light. The world will be a safer place once he's marginalized.

Well obviously it's not part of the Israeli deal as it's a US Israel treaty violation on a massive scale. In our treaty with Israel the USA is not allowed to sell arms that would give other regional powers tech parity with Isreal.
