Was there something already wrong with normal beer?

Or is this beer for people that don't like beer?

I've had a couple pineapple radlers recently that I wasn't impressed with. The mango was right out. I'll do grapefruit until it gives me heartburn though.

Might make an interesting beer bread ...

It's a fizzy pineapple ice cream drink with a little alcohol.  I guess it's kind of interestingly geeky to get that through beer-type fermentation, but you really should just put alcohol in a damn Dole Whip if you want that flavor.

Cheese is fine, sour cream, yogurt... all fine dairy fermentations.  Milk beer is... I mean, why?

i love grapefruit and oranges but grapefruit beers and especially the rash of blood orange beers i've recently had the misfortune of encountering are pretty vile

neither does a dole whip beer have whips in it

...or milk

Brewed using *actual Dole Whip* mix, pineapple puree, and milk sugar, this beer tastes just like the iconic pineapple soft serve served at Disney.

same as milk stout

I retract my statement, then.  Mea culpa.  but I still have no interest in the dole whip beer.

Three words

What The Fark?

OK. It's supposedly a sour. Still.

The proper thing to do with dole whips is put dark rum on them.

The third batch of my homebrewing career was a pineapple honey brew, based on 7 lbs of malt with 4 lbs honey and a couple pounds of crushed pineapple. It hit 12 percent alcohol and was something you'd drink, get farked up, then hurl. Every time i'd drink it itd make me or anyone else who drank it hurl. Wound up disposing of the last 3 gallons as i hadnt touched on distilling yet...

one of our regular locales always had this cider on draft in the summertimes, and it's quite lovely - very dry/sour, not sweet&sour. (of course at that place I'd usually be ordering whatever tap was: decent-tasting + ABV + cheapest. namely Tröegs Perpetual. sometimes they'd have Tröegenator... sometimes.)

Left Hand FTW!!! although, if you aren't fortunate enough to find it on draft (we were! although the place could barely keep it in stock lol. also, $mai_waifu, who "doesn't like beer, especially stout" could not shut up about it and it was all she would order when possible.) - hmm, personally I felt that the cans are great, but the bottles are just ...weird... tasting for some reason.

I'll have to ask our friendly clerk at the supermarche, who oversees all the beer ordering. 'cos, man, it's been a while!

Dead for Tax Reasons: actual milk in beer would be foul

There is a certain use case for milk in beer:  Even the smallest trace of milk is deadly to beer foam.  A friend homebrewed some beer that was just way too carbonated and poured out as mostly head.  I stirred a drop of milk into 1/8 cup of water, then put one drop of this mixture into the over-heady beer.  This resulted in a beer with no head at all, but at least you could drink it.

This stuff is... not very good.  It was impossible to buy a variety pack of San Tan without getting 3 cans of Mr. Pineapple in it for months, which was annoying.

I'm not sure you'd feel the same about drinking this cheap crap in public but it's refreshing and tasty if ice cold and 8% ABV.

Milk stouts and cream ales do not contain milk. They do contain lactose to make them sweeter as lactose is not a fermentable sugar.

Really useful if you brew with real chocolate. helps to cut the bitterness.

Well, I didn't want to ruin the beer, just get rid of the excess foam.
