Lol Trump's not attending Biden's inauguration. He'll be too busy shiatting in the drawers of the resolute desk and pouring concrete mix in the toilets.

He will be spending even less time writing the now traditional letter to his successor, which will be two words, one of which will be an expletive.

You sure about that?  Doesn't normally such terminology only get applied towards the parties whose claims are denied?

What? I don't understand your question. Simply put, a dismissal without prejudice gives the prosecutor leave to refile, and a dismissal with prejudice does not allow the prosecutor to refile unless and until a higher court says otherwise.

Wait - now I understand my confusion. I've been following so many legal stories today that I've mixed this case up with the Bannon case in my mind ( the weed doesn't help). This, of course, is a civil matter - wherever I typed "prosecutor"read "plaintiff," and where I wrote "charges" read "cause of action." There. All fixed.

But a State impaneled grand jury will.

/I'mOKwiththis.jpg

We already know one line of details.

Over decades, Fred Trump illegally paid his children through fake invoices for upkeep or supplies for rental units.

As a side bonus, this allowed them to raise rents on tenants by showing the Housing Authority their "high" costs.

For Donald alone this is estimated to be close to $500,000,000

Question in back: WHY THE FARK DID THEY WAIT SO GODDAMN LONG? I mean, jeeze, when did Daddy Slum Lord die anyway?  Had this been done decades ago, +170K would still be alive and this country NOT in thrall to Putin and Repuglicans imposing FASCISM.

This is in relation to a state grand jury investigation in to possible various tax and business record state fraud  matters by not only Trump, but the Trump organization and I believe some family members.

Hey, question for all of you political farkers. What will the GOP do if Trump gets indicted shortly after he accepts the nomination next week?

I don't know about the GOP, but my liver will need to surrender!

Or, better yet (since Vance likely won't want to open the can of worms of whether states can indict a sitting president for crimes), Trump's adult children, his company, his fortune, everyone around him, could all get indicted and seized even without an indictment on Individual-1

I just had an image of all of Trump*'s finances going, all his businesses shut down, all his family and friends indicted and arrested....leaving him with nothing. Poor and alone, homeless, on the streets. In prison he'd get food and healthcare.

It made me feel good 😊

Wow. That's extraordinary.

For you non-law talking guy types, it is customary to give a litigant a chance to amend his pleadings to state a cause of action.  If the order specifically excludes that right, the judge is effectively saying Trump's argument was so flawed and baseless it is all but sanctionable.

Wasn't that completely expected? SCOTUS said as much last month and cleared the lower court to do the same. This is just the formalization of that, no?

The question is, is this finally the last hurdle? Will Vance get the records immediately?
