I remember the last time we had a criminal president. It wasn't that long ago. Oddly enough, not only did he never face accountability, one of his top advisors and conspirators in war crimes just spoke at the Democratic convention. Expect more of the same.

Enjoy the ted nugent and kid rock speeches at the gop convention next week.

Nothing will be done about it until Fox News says it is serious.  And such a thing won't be serious until it is a Democrat.

Lock him up.
Lock him up.

That does have a nice rhythm to it.

"There's no way to sugarcoat it. In less than three months, the American people could re-elect a man who received a foreign government's help to win one election and has shown neither remorse nor reservations about doing so again."

But Susan Collins was concerned, and she said he learned his lesson. Surely that's enough.

You can, lock him up.
But that is not how we dispatch traitors.

2020-08-20 10:19:26 AM
And next to that editorial will be one from a Trump party Senator saying the BLM is funded by foreign entities and protesters should be shot on sight.

Or is the NYT actually starting to learn a lesson?

/Short answer: No

For all of the chanting they never did shiat to Hillary after the election. Trump OTOH will be in jail the day after he leaves office. And forget bail, he is the very model of a flight risk.

The Senate told us we have an election, and that the American people should decide, since they didn't want to take the reins of removing Trump from office.

We've decided, he's a fraud and one that accepted the aide of our enemies. Time for him to go.

Yeah but between 30 and 50% of the country doesn't give a shiat. So does it really matter at this point? I'm doubtful the democrats are going to be able to do jack shiat about it.

Yes, my noticing the Democrats celebrating a war criminal Republican at their convention when he should be behind bars certainly reflects badly on me.

Yes it does and good of you to acknowledge that. Now in 12 years if Democrats had Benedict Donald, who has committed more then just war crimes speaking at the DNC then you'd have a point. But right now your own faults are on you as you've acknowledged.

I think you completely misunderstood my statement. Democrats have had opportunities to hold criminal Republicans accountable in the past and they have decided it's better to not do that. Getting Trump out is a noble goal, obviously. Preventing the next Trump by holding corruption accountable is absolutely vital to the future of our country and I doubt it will happen based on prior results.

Not a very convincing argument for "case closed",  and rightly omitted from the actual news section

How exactly does it reflect badly on me? Because you don't like what I'm saying? I get it, you love the Iraq War and everyone who lied us into it. Some of us realize that it was a bad thing and we shouldn't be celebrating the people who made it happen, especially when the lack of accountability for those who did so led directly to Trump being president.

There was no actual criming behind all of the Hillary smears. Trump must have driven AG Sessions/Barr crazy with his conspiratorial rants & accusations. Even today, she's still "Crooked Hillary" in Trump's own words.

The best the Trump administration's DOJ could do was go after Andy McCabe for lying to Congress. The impaneled grand jury wouldn't indict him....oops. Nothing there either.

It'd be in a much better state then it is right now and unlike how you and your party have done, I doubt the NYT editorial board would be highly backing child molesters for political office.

Food for thought. Not that you do much thinking.

Wow the New York Times respects that freedom of the press includes publishing opinions from people I don't agree with.  Truly both sides are the same and I should vote for the one that's trying to destroy the right to vote and choose fairly pick our representatives in the Republic.

As a comment in a thread about how the current president is likely an outright traitor to the United States?  Yes.

You used to post things that were why the candidate you prefer was the best choice.  And that continuing with centrism was unlikely to move the needle sufficiently for your tastes.

The president is a traitor. We all know it. We've all known about it for years.

That doesn't mean anyone is going to do anything about it, obviously they're not going to do anything about it now and later isn't looking much better based on their track record and current talking points.

I'm saying vote him out but if you're thinking legal consequences are in store for Trump you haven't been paying attention.

It's true, there were a few republicans talking there.  Given that all republicans are racist liars who support treason and rape as well as murdering 100's of thousands of Iraqis because they are members of a religion of hate.
