Pffft. I've told that to countless people. The vile old racist prob old school racist trying to talk his trump politics to me at the bar, the guy at the hotel wanting to keep my passport, the car salesman who doesn't want to return my potential trade in, the uber guy that wants to take me luggage and I say no.

Actually... i think prob tell too many people I'll chop their hands off. 🤔

Gordon Bennett: Scissors? Do schools no longer use these?

Those were great for cutting large amounts of paper. They are also handy to kill zombies. I have one in my storage locker.

This would be fairly normal for North Dakota in the early eighties when I was in school.

That's horrible. If it was middle school, I'd understand

Gonna have a hard time with just scissors. Especially with today's fat bodied kids. Might I suggest

Threats? ROFLMAO.
When I was school teachers actually hurt kids. And, we didn't shoot up the school like a show flake. We dropped out and did dope.
🙄

"If you do it again I'll chop your fingers off" is not a suitable behavioral correction approach in a prison

Well, that would depend on the prison, wouldn't it?   I can see that not being appropriate in a US prison, but Lubyanka under Lavrentiy Beria?  I could see that being a comparatively mild incentive.  Certainly better than a 7.62x25mm to the back of the head on the way back to your cell.

Could be worse. I dated a woman that threatened to cut her kids' tongues out. On the phone: kids happily playing in the background, out of nowhere she's shouting in my ear like the drunk and crazy person I'd recently been learning she was. Despite her hotness and great sex I ended it right then and there. Never felt wiser and better about leaving a relationship. Replaced her with another hottie with great sex. (That actually worked out well for a few years until she challenged my firm position on maintaining my bachelorhood.) She turned out to be a bit crazy, too, but more the ordinary and fun kind, sober--and with no worries of bearing witness to a violent crime and having to testify about it and why I hadn't reported her to family services before there were maiming injuries.

Back in the day, it was nuns using rulers across kiddies knuckles.  So much progress.

I thought it was rule #1: Never make a threat you aren't ready to follow through on.

Now the kids know you're lying about the punishment.

Strangely it is the over the top and obviously silly threats that work.

That's why I prefer to make more existential threats, like "I will devour your soul!*" They can't prove it didn't happen.

* Doesn't work on gingers, obviously

Keep forgetting to give that movie a try. Perhaps will provide new inspiration to keep the kids in line.

Protip: when you watch the movie, and use some of those lines, keep an eye out if one of them start looking at you like Vincent D'Onofrio's character. Just saying.

"You clean your room like old people fark!"

"I will motivate you son if it short-dicks every cannibal on the Congo!"

"You little scumbag! I've got your name! I've got your ass! You will not laugh! You will not cry! You will learn by the numbers and I will teach you!"

The possibilities are *ENDLESS*.

From Joe Bob Briggs' Rapping Youths Upside the Head:

...

Okay, here's another example. Kid named Drew is chunkin rocks at the tires on my mint-condition '74 Toronado and some of em are gettin up under the chassis and makin a terrible sound. What would you do?

Tire tool? We're talking 20 to 30 hard time.

Hit-and-run? I'll put you down for 35.

No, you only have one alternative in a case like this. It's to grab the kid by his ratty haircut, put your lips so close to his ear he can feel your breath in the crevices of his brain, and say the following words:

"Do that again and I'll remove it."

Now one thing you need to keep in mind. Never, under any circumstances, should you define what "it" is. If the little weenie says "Remove what?" which he probably won't cause he'll be too scared, just drop him in the nearest Dempster Dumpster and say, "Wait here till I get back and I'll show you."

You see the beauty here? Instant results. No prosecution. Intelligent child abuse.

...

It was a simpler time.

Chuck is shown to have had all but his index fingers cut off when his compulsive masturbation disorder became too much for Lin to tolerate
